Spit would be the least of my concerns. Here is an advice that will serve you for life: whenever in a restaurant, NEVER but NEVER send the food back if you intend to eat at that same restaurant. NEVER. The chef takes offense and you will be VERY LUCKY if he doesn't mess with what you are about to eat. And let me repeat: spit is the least of your concerns. Well, the spit of a malicious sort of homosexual would need an open wound in the mouth to transfer HIV. My aunt demanded me to do a blood-test for nutrition reasons anyway, so I will see. Another possibility is hypochondria.

Another possibility is hypochondria. Not HIV, lol! You can't get HIV from food unless you have an open wound in your gums. There are many ways to tamper with the food. I don't want to get into details, but the kitchen staff can do almost anything (from urinating, to rubbing your food in their armpits). This may sound an exageration, but this sort of stuff has happened before. Whenever something goes bad in a restaurant, eat first (or don't eat at all) and THEN complain. If the case is bad enough, call the police and let them solve the problem. However, NEVER but NEVER send the food back if you expect to eat or drink anything at that same establishment.
