You're right, people often forget that there is a minority tendency among Middle Easterners toward blondism.

Check out this Iranian man. Then compare him to the three jews who were circled in the above pic. As far as features and complexion go, they could all pass for germanic I suppose if they tried. But this is not necessarily due to germanic admixture in any of them. Its possible of course, but certainly not absolutely the cause for sure. Yes... ...But you forget that the Iranian would smell different. ;D

Yes the Racial Police are out their waiting, watching, ready to pass judgement! I just wanted to comment that the wearing of the Star of David on Jews was not a concept invented by the Nazi's alone, it goes back to the Dark/Middle Ages. I believe Frederick II King of Sicily and Holy Roman Emperor was one of the,if not the first one to use such a design and concept ,as he had all the jews in his Kingdom wear it as to know who wasnt Christian ect..

heh, you would have been the last person I expected to be using that term. Its cool and all. Just surprising. I have gotten in trouble though when using it around mizrahim. I hate the term. But I have to admit, it comes in handy when discussing our "legitimacy". Yes. In Shi'ite garb he would look like a Persian mullah. In Ashkenazi clothes he looks... wait for it... Ashkenazi! Coon really hit the nail on the head when he said that many Mizrahi Jews would have no problem blending in in Eastern European shtetls.

I was quite shocked the first time I realized that jews are really a small group and not very widespread. Most of the world is jewish-empty, and almost all of them are in Israel and 5 or 6 more places (USA, France, Former Soviet Union, Argentina, Canada), and in those countries they are mostly centered around only one place like New York or Buenos Aires. For most of the world they are a very exotic bunch. Well one of the most ancient jewish communities in Europe is here in Italy. Jews were far by uncommon in central and northern Italy before WWII.

Well, you take a part the very blond one, and mix with one or two of these others: take away the kippahs as well, and have a perfect italian classroom. (if you keep the kippahs, you'll have a jewish school like those in Milan and Rome). Ciao!

Btw, I agree with you, he could easily pass as a persian mullah or ashkenazi rabbi. But I am surprised that he is actually mizrahi, since he is from Morocco and all. Do they really consider themselves part of the Edot HaMizraH? I thought he would have been called Sephardic, not mizrahi. North Africa is a very confusing place for Jewish labels, I'm still trying to figure it out. If he is Mizrahi, does that make Aryeh Deri mizrahi too? (He too could pass as a persian mullah in the right clothes. I actually posted a topic on this a few days ago.)

Don't forget Israeli born Natalie Portman Portman could pass as german, italian, balkan, latvian, etc etc. I would say she is Alpine-Med mix. She could fit in most places in europe, including the souther mediterranean parts. This Jew girl looks Italian IMO. Probably mostly med with some Alpine. This one is probably more alpine, possibly some med. Not much looks armenoid about any of these girls really. Even some Iberians look like these gals. Its really kind of hard to tell, and it raises a lot of questions about race labels such as "alpine" "dinaric" or "med" since there is so much overlap amongst all of europe sometimes.

All North African Jews are Mizrahi. They all mixed with Berber Jews.
Libyan Jews are a good example. They have absorbed Iraqi Jews, Yemenite Jews, Berber Jews and Sephardic Jews.

All of them are Mizrahi? I can agree with that, but time and time again people on here have said this guy is pure Sephardi. But I would feel more comfortable labeling him Mizrahi, its less confusing. You think this guy mixed with berber jews? Do you have any pics of berber jews? I have never actually seen one.

They're a mixture Berbers and ancient Jews. I don't have any pics, but they look just like the Moroccan Jews of today.
The only true Spanish Jews left live in Netherlands and Gibraltar. And of course, there are the Bnei Anousim of Portugal, Spain and Latin America.

I don't know much about Turkish Jews. The ones I have met were really Euro-looking.
