Black folks don't act like rednecks who mostly live in trailer parks, we have our own houses for starters. We don't ride around in pick up trucks looking for a person to hang either. ;D

Poor southern blacks follow similar patterns to rednecks. When southern blacks began moving north in waves, to the annoyance of black northerners, the impression they had of southern blacks was the same that northern whites and southern middle class whites have of rednecks.

I just explained in another thread the reasons why northern blacks look at southern blacks in a different light, but the fact is now a lot of northern blacks are moving south because the south is becoming more successful and easier to live in than the north. But we are not anything like rednecks culturally.

I think you misunderstood. Northern blacks made up 10% of the population before the great waves of black southern migration. Those northern blacks were very different culturally and were swamped. Most northern blacks today are still very much like their southern kin who they split from only a few generations ago. They still follow the same patterns.

Well, of course because of the new environment and therefore different influences. But there is a big difference culturally between that 10% of blacks before the great migrations and the blacks who live in the north today.
