So, black and white aren't really integrated at all in the US, that's the only conclusion I can make of all the mixed folks needing to belong to one group specifically. US is a race obsessed country, apparently. (I know these kinds of boards may seem to be like that too, but it doesn't matter.)

Alaina, do you think that African-Americans with names like Teisha,Latoya,Shaqwida,Shaniqua etc get more job discriminated than AA with regular names like Brenda, Lauren, April etc?

Why do Blacks harass mulattos and other bi-racial people who choose to identify with the other race? ie: Tiger Woods, Jennifer Beals, etc? I dated a Mullatto guy once(both parents were mulatto). He had fair skin but appeared more Asian due to straight black hair, eyes, and full lips. His parents identified as "black" but he did not and had many problems to the point he had to distance himself from blacks. He was beat up in school and criticized heavily for being a "wannabe" even though he didn't look like a typical black person.
why can't blacks let the "White Mulattos" be?

Not all blacks. Some blacks don't care.

Most Blacks in the NAACP oppose the idea of adding a mixed race box in the U.S census since they believe in strength in numbers.

Most Blacks in the NAACP oppose the idea of adding a mixed race box in the U.S census since they believe in strength in numbers. strength in numbers to pad their bottom line. It's funny how some white readily accept bi-racial who identify with them as "white" but blacks are quick to point them out like in the media with mariah Carey and other celebs. It they are a serial killer then blacks will not "claim" them.

Oh I have no idea but I'm saying if it was discovered that a serial killer had a black parent or grandparent the blacks would all be like, "Uhm he's white"...
If the same person won World cup, Superbowl, Spelling Bee, Grammy,Oscar, or US Open then all of a sudden they are black.

This woman is not black but a mixed up to me. Why? Because she has a white father? Well, then I guess that makes her just as "black" as Halle Berry. Or Alicia Keys. Everybody clap for the one-drop rule.

I don't have what i call a bias against mixed race people, but I certainly do not believe in one drop "blacks" who look completely white identifying as black, they white as far as I'm concerned. And i don't believe in mixed race people who identify as black to take advantage of scholarships aimed at blacks but then turn around and say they're mixed not black, either they're with us or not. They can't wake up and be black one day then decide to be mixed the next day. Alaina is black but I have some misgivings about some of the things she says.
