1. Is that enough reason to slaughter so many peoples of India and Europe ? Once again why do you put europe and india together, we don't stand together in many of our experiences. It seems like you want to join hands with europeans (stop kissing up to them). Be proud that you are a indian, and stop trying to join the indo-european club. They never had to go through islam(expect for southern Iberia), and christiany did a good job wiping the pagans out before that. Hindus on the other hand withstood Buddhism, Islam, and Christiany. Plus Indians & Europeans aren't only two affected, the whole world is affected by christian problem, don't ever forget that. There isn't any problem in worshiping ancient gods. but It is also natural for most people to worship one popular deity in a community setting. Also on a Individual level, people rarely pray to 100 of different gods, many have a preference one personal god. Of-course it is crimes against humanity. But why blame monotheism for it? This occurs mainly when a faith is driven by the ideas of "spreading the word" ie. missionaries. Jews, Zoroastrians, and others don't have the zeal that the christians & muslims have, because there's no scriptural command for them to expand their religion.

God is undefinable. God neither means one person nor a group of persons. How foolish is it to quarrell on that subject. What you just said above, contradicts everything you said before . You said before that mass killing and hatred was started by Monotheism. Now you are saying belief in one god doesn't include any one person or peoples. So quarreling on God is a waste time. Make up your mind before you say something please. Belief in God, and worship of god, isn't the problem. Its the missionary zeal and cultural superiority that are the real trouble makers. Am I suppose to be impressed by this? Did some of the sages get an ego-boost, by feeling that they were higher than Gods? If there are stories of some Brahmans creating some devas, there will also be others stories in the puranas that contradicts that too. like Popular belief is that Lakshmi came out of the churning ocean. Plus if honest men can be creators of Gods and are above gods. Then whats the point of worshipping these ancient Gods. You tell me? The only logical point is there is something higher than both men & gods. What sad about you Arun is, you don't really have any idea what you are taking about, you only think you do.

Hinduism is important to me, because it is a part of me.
To me Hinduism = Indian History + Indian Culture + Indian Faith, all put together.
If you are not a Indian Hindu, that's fine too. But in the long run, most of india, should be nourished by the hindu culture and religion.
Hinduism, is the glue that holds everything together, without it, everything falls apart. And that's what will happen if india ever becames a fully christian country (everything will go down hill from there).
