@ Forrester: Antonio Banderas is not pred. Berid. He looks like Lundman's Paleo-Atlantid to me and even has some Nordid traits (Baskid admixture?).
Nordindid - man on the left shows other influences.
Nordid - Uma Thurman has slight Mediterranoid admixture (rounded forehead). The Anadolid example might be good.
Armenid example - looks like a cross of different Mediterranoids but is no pure Armenid. Did you pick him because he resembles Sean Connery? lol

He resembles Howard actually, if you baldened him, narrowed his orbital distance, and bleached him: No, because he was ugly.

Back to the East Baltids.... Has anyone seen Coon's tables on Finns ? His "typically" East Baltid guy from Tampere looks quite surpricing.
In general, I find the East Baltid type one of the most ambiguos one. It seems that the 20th century anthropologists were quite divided on how exactly the East Baltids should look like. In addition, the whole term became very ideologically ladden by the early 1920's. For instance, the Swedish anthropologist often exaggerated the difference between the typical "Nordic" Swedes and the typical "East Baltid" Finns after Finland became independent, undergone a very bloody, ideological civil war and the Swedish language lost it's primate even in "upper" circles. The German anthropologists of the 1930's took one step further in this path, as we all well know. In both cases East Baltid was defined as a negation of the Nordic, and shown baring some undesirable features.
In the mean while Finnish later on Soviet / Baltic anthropologists took a very much more pragmatic approach to the matter. Their extensive measurements showed that people living NE of the Baltic sea - true East Baltids - were metrically quite different from the definition of the East Baltids commonly accepted by the Germanic anthropologists. They actually were much nearer to Scandinavian populations than previously thought. Finns, for instance, were found prevailingly mesocephalic, very much like Swedes. As a result, the Soviet anthropologists refuted the whole Western anthropological terminology.
I still think that the term East Baltid is somewhat abused. There are, of course, people in Finland and in the Baltic States who would fit the description perfectly. However, the funny thing is that when ever I see these people in Helsinki (great place to observe Finnish phenotypes, since the town has drawn a lot of population from all parts of Finland), they do strike me as particularly widefaced individual, not the average ones.

He is at least no typical Baltid, thats for sure. Whereas his headshape and facial shape in general seem to fit, his eyes and nasal shape f.e. are definitely rather Nordid than Baltid. So you could call him Baltid with significant Nordid admixture imo. I was wondering what would be the real Baltid eyeshape, if this guys eyes are "Nordid". His eyeshape is incredibly dominant in Finland, and may be common in Baltic States too. So, if we conclude that the eyeshape is indeed Dalic, it would make most Finns and maybe the best part of Balts too significantly "Nordid", IMO.

Hendrik Larsson looks quite Europid for a mulattoe btw. Most typical mixes of extreme Negrids with Europid dont look like that - and are more often unattractive. Better results I saw with Aethiopids first and Northern Sudanids which have more refined features. I think the most europid Mulatto I've ever seen, is Tony Parker. His father is quite negroid though. Here he looks like a darker version of the rapper Eminem.

Nordids and West Baltids which are related to Dalofaelids and Cromagnoid are strong in Finns and Balts. Typical Baltids look different, Eastbaltids even much more so - they look Lappoid influenced.

@ Nordid - Uma Thurman has slight Mediterranoid admixture (rounded forehead). Uma Thurman always looked like a light middle easterner to me. She has unique features.

Jay Davidson neither man nor woman, neither white nor black. He was great in the Crying Game and Stargate.

alot of these people, if they had straight hair, would look overwhelmingly Euro - its only their negroid hair structure that gives them away!

Actually someone has argued - I have yet to find the original source, though - that in the mordern Europe Finns are the ethnic group that comes closest to the Cromagnons metrically. And I wonder would the fact that Finns are prevailingly West Baltids mean that the true East Baltids are actually Central Russian ?

And I wonder would the fact that Finns are prevailingly West Baltids mean that the true East Baltids are actually Central Russian ? That was Markku Niskanen, a professor from Oulu, Finland. The widely published summary of his work was pretty much welcomed with a hostile reaction by the Dodona "professionals" questioning the man's scientific credentials etc. Not that I agree with everything, as Agrippa pointed out his Austrian "facial-flatness" anthropometry is a bitt odd or he miraculously founded the most Dj Bobo'ish Alpines as a sample... As you pointed out, there's a big problem with how the actual populations are and how the anthropologists depicted them. Just like Niilo Pesonen's & others (the most thural study of Finnish population ever done to date?) study showed contradicting information on nasal-shape, cephalic index and colouring of the population compared to the depictions done by foreigners. But who on earth is a Finn to tell how Finnish people might look like or a Dane telling how Dane's look etc. Which is why if some choose to overlook Finnish studies by Finns as "biased" I shall overlook anything written by Lundman on Swedes as "biased" and so on. Not very logical but some cranially challenged induviduals are more than comfortable doing so.

Accordingly to some anthropologists russians mainly belong to Central Eastern European race while some finnic speaking nations belong to East Baltid and White-sea race.
