do you believe in the prevalence of 'intelligent' looking features? if you do then what are the combinations of these traits?

I notice intelligent people don't make many facial expressions. They aren't the type to be smiling all day long or laughing like a challenged donkey. They also tend to be deformo-skinny or tub-o-lard fat. They also have social deficits, allergic rhinitis, myopia, and knobby knees.

Features, no. I think it's human to associate regular features to intelligence, but all the attempts (and there have been some) to find a link between look and IQ have failed.
Facial expression, I think ivyleak is on to something with the laughter, people who laugh often and aloud usually are dumber than people who don't (but there's also a big cultural factor here). We all know the empty stare, then, that's definitely not the mark of the genius. I have sorta suspect people who mumble or move their lips when reading are the scum of IQ universe, but can't prove it.

how does charisma play in too? can you just look at a woman or a man and be charmed by that person?

how does charisma play in too? can you just look at a woman or a man and be charmed by that person? Women can be charmed by men, as they notice everything, how a man walks, moves, the voice, the dress, the gaze so get a general impression that if positive can be called charm. Men are not "charmed" by women they just look at the body + face and judge by them, all the reasons for which a girl is hot or not are pretty predictable and obvious and are all about her body and how much you see of it. The above on average, obviously

Men instead are very focused on look and availability and that's why blonde (dyed or not) hair and a miniskirt will always do the trick. A women is really turned down by some slip of a man in any of the above mentioned qualities, as if he proves to be ignorant, petty, dull ... and they are all the times judging men. Men are much more "tolerant" and women can't go much higher or lower than their prettiness availability status, whatever they do. In a first date the attention of a woman is focused on how the man passes her various exames, the attention of the man on if she will go to bed with him finally and when.

on female perception - isn't it also true that females might be threatned or intimidated by the way a male looks?

How this look should actually be is anybody's guess. Methinks women want the man to look indimidating for others, and sweet and caring with them. What do you think?

nock, you one smart cooky. I would say that a girl becomes attractive to a man when she looks "ready to mate" and appears to be average in intelligence. She must smile incessantly to appear submissive/not so bright. That is why I utilize this technique myself. It works. Even when I am depressed I hold my face tight with a 'starlet smile' like Marilyn Monroe and I only use low level vocaboolary.

'does he look too much like my dad or brother?', 'does this guy have good genes?' 'just how aggressive is he?' 'is he very secure in himself?' 'does he smell good?' etc.
