ignoring is not a realistic option see, religion is different in the middle east than in the west. making such a cartoon is VERY offensive to muslims wether it's mohamad Jesus or any other prophet...
burning flag and such is a wrong reponse, but the I believe the mag should be fined or something

It is a reaction. A fine would be a response. But, as my older son would say, "Wuss!" ;D

forget about the reactions of some people. what's the purpose of these cartoons? I mean it's like someone is calling your mom a fat whoe and you are expected to laugh about it Perhaps that would be good analogy if they drew Mohammed humping a camel.

Christianity is much more than just another religion. There are many who claim the name Christian who doesn't really know Jesus Christ personally. A lot of people say, "I believe in God". Well, that's good but by itself it doesn't save anyone. The Bible says that the demons believe in God and tremble, and it does them no good. The fact is that many say that they believe in God and probably do, but when it comes right down to it they live like God doesn't exist. They live as if they can walk in their sins and still somehow get to heaven anyway. See, its important that you "know" if you have truly been born again! For Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son said that you must be born again to see the Kingdom of God. 1 John 2:3-4 " 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. " 1 John 3:23-24 " 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. " Every last one of us are under a sentence of death, and all that we have to do to go to Hell is “nothing!” Hebrews 9:27 " And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: " Though we will all physically die once, we all have a choice about what comes after that. There is a demonic adversary who will try to get you to put off making a commitment to the Lord Jesus. Who will you believe? And all of us are not promised tomorrow. All that we know that we have is today. That is why the Bible declares that today is the day of salvation in 2 Corinthians 6:2 “Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” God has allowed you to come to this place and read this today to give you the opportunity to get right with Him through Jesus Christ. It is only when a person gets right with God that he is really ready to enjoy all this life can bring. It is your choice! YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY depends on which kingdom you are in when you die. At birth, we entered into the Kingdom ruled by Satan, the “god of this world” (2 Corinthians 2:14). Jesus told the Pharisees, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do” (John 8:44). When we make a commitment to the Lord and believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, then God gives us the Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, we are born again. We know that we know Him and that He is abiding in us when we keep His commandments. We keep them because we love Him. We can because He fills us with His love and His Spirit. We have been born by the Spirit of God, and He has given us love. And that love gives us power to walk as children of God. We "know" that He abides in us. www.voiceofthewatchman.org/biblestudies/messages/bornagain.htm

forget about the reactions of some people. what's the purpose of these cartoons? What Jyllands-Posten intention was to prove that secular western values in Denmark have not been eroded by Islamic values. It worked and they won and by not letting it drop, Muslims around the world are well on the way to turning a tactical success by an obscure danish newspaper into a triumph for enlightenment values. It was an act of will by which these Danes defended their values against their own. That they cannot even see they've fallen into a trap that bites harder the more they fight against it is a measure of the irrationality of their position. Has anyone seen that bunch outside the Danish embassy today? "BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT THE PROPHET" "EUROPE IS THE PROBLEM, ISLAM IS THE ANSWER" EUROPE DON'T YOU REMEMBER 9/11" "BUTCHER THOSE WHO INSULT ISLAM" yadda yadda yadda. I only regret that they're a bunch of twadgers whose banners and slogans and threats only come out under the protection of a policed protest in a civilised city in Great Britain. Quite frankly, we need more of this.

Syriano, muslims are indeed overreacting, imagine if catholics reacted like that any time they make anti catholic jokes in Europe or the USA.
Recently, a comedian made a book about Jesus, full of pictures of him as a stoned hippy who could perform magic tricks, a bishop in Austria said it was disrespectful and he was voted something like loser of the year.

I said some of the reactions were wrong, but again I question the motives behind such cartoons esp at these hard times. why try to stir up things esp that it's something so dear for the other party?

The guys of the newspaper got what they wanted, portray muslims as evil, and Islam as stanic, I have to thank muslims for their apological work against their own religion.
