Is it true some have more than others? I have heard the mongoloids tend to have the least body odour. For example, when the japanese first met the europeans for the first time, it had been said that they found their body odour especially strong and used the term "bata-kusai" (literally meaning reeking of butter) to describe them.

Pacificrim, Asians have the least body hair. Bacteria breeds in hair. Europeans and Iranians are the world's hairest people--so one would imagine they'd smell the garlickiest. I do.
P.S.--Egyptian priests used to shave and pluck every hair from their bodies--even their eye-lashes. They smelled a lot better afterward than before.

Perspiration would also have something to do with it. Don't Asians sweat less than Caucasians?

I've heard this too, that bacteria is what causes the odor. However, there is more to it than that because some men smell baaaaad while others smell really good. There seems to be some sexual purpose to smelling. Maybe races which are more sexually active would have stronger smells than those in which sexuality isn't as much of a driving force.

Black people tend to smell good, sort of sweet, not as "oniony" as caucasoids. In some places, there's the stereotype of Koreans having horrible garlicky body odor, because of the high garlic content in their food. Supposedly in Chile they have barred Koreans from entering saunas because of this--maybe it's an urban myth. Most Chileans are extremely sensitive to garlic, as it is avoided like the plague by many there.

You'd think so, but there's a lot of social pressure against eating garlic there. It's really frowned upon. Probably, it's because it has a strong taste, and that could be seen as "low class". Chile is a very classist-racist country.
