Both Douglass and Dubois were mixed Caucasian/Negroid... with Dubois that's clear from his looks.. i've never seen a photo of Douglass without a beard.

A man ain't a man if he can't grow a decent beard. Human2, I demand a picture! To answer the topic: What human2 said. It's all about picking the ones who're not extremely Mongoloid or Caucasoid. How many here find Coon's Pathan to be handsome as hell? He's an extreme Caucasoid. Okay okay, many don't think of non-Euro Caucasoids as being the same race as Euros, but still, you all know what I'm talking about. It's the same with all races. Pick out the intermediates and plenty will find them handsome. I would kick it with that East Asian guy human2 posted (even if he probably can't grow a thick, healthy beard ). Another thing that might put white Euros in a good light is that fair skin has been and still is considered ideal for women in many parts of the world. Was this so even before white people started touring the world? Many non-whites seem to like fair skin so much they don't mind if it's attached to a fugly mule.

A man ain't a man if he can't grow a decent beard. That hurt. Ok, I'll just give you the one I gave Mike. And it was a full picture. Kick it? That's ebonics. I don't like fair skin actually. It's deathly pale. I think the reason why it was a positive trait was because it was associated with the upper class who didn't have to work in the fields.

Actually I think the olive complexion characteristic of Mediterraneans and mixed Latin Americans is more prized these days than pale skin.

is this to do with caucasions being something of an intermediate between mogoloids and negroids (which is questionable, as negroids and caucasoids share common traits as do mongoloids and negroids - eg. mongoloids could be an intermediate between negroids and caucasoids) Aren't whites and east asians more closely related to each other than they are to negroids? As far as know, in human's genetic tree, didn't the non-Africans first split from the Africans, before the non-Africans themselves started to branch off into the mongoloids and caucasians.

When I lived in Tanzania I found negroid women to different for my tastes at first. After a while I got used to it and started to see individual differences. It's all about familiarity.
I find it funny that pretty (symmetric) features are labeled Caucasoid when most Caucasoid people don't have those features. I guess the Chinese proverb 'one white can cover up a hundred wrongs' was right.

I wonder if he was actually quadroon. His wife was white and so are his children and descendants. He was very well-respected and eventually gave up on most of the blacks he tried to help.

Actually, it's more like "Whites" are in-between Africans and Asians genetically. "Whites" preserve the genetic signature of the first Eurasians, from which Asians and Oceanians are derived from.

Some women find beards very attractive; I am one of them. I don't like them overly messy and scruffy-looking, though. My Caucasian husband has enough Amerindian in him that he can only grow a moustache and goatee. He cannot grow any sideburns, even short ones. It is the only Mongoloid trait that I see on him in addition to extremely little body hair. So, I like the look of hair, but in a neat, restrained way.

I have to agree that it is more likely the social status and wealth that is often associated with caucasians that makes them "attractive", rather than physical appeal.

That hurt. Aaw. Hey, I make exceptions all the time! Too many American movies! No one likes fair skin in Sweden except for the racists. I've yet to met a Swede who wouldn't mind being very tanned all year around. I prefer a tan on men. Looks healthier.

LOL! I like to see more hair on the top of the head than that. This is more my style. (Picture I drew of a handsome stranger I saw at the airport). Note luxuriant head hair and neat, restrained facial hair.
