Yep. If they *must* have a term for Northern Europeans, they should just go with "Northern Europeans." Simple, efficient, no alternate meanings.
All those formerly-used synonyms you just related, Crimson, of course have no place as substitutes for Northern European.
Anthropologically, Nordic refers to a specific type by no means shared by all Northern Europeans.
Teutonic is another word for Germanic and unless we all come to the sudden realization that all Northern Europeans are really Germans in disguise, then Teutonic doesn't fly either.
And of course, Anglo-Saxon is deficient for the reasons I already stated.
