Hey, MissBlackPearl, I'm curious to hear your opinion on this one. To me, as a dark mediterranean woman, it looks obvious that when black woman get narrower noses, straighten their hair, etc. they are trying to look more caucasian. Even I feel pressure that with my dark eyes and thick hair that I am not 'white' enough. You seem to agree with me that it is screwy to feel pressure to use chemicals on one's hair in order to appear decent ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) . How come black women won't just admit that it is screwy and start wearing their hair naturally? And why won't they admit it for once...that they are trying to mimic a European look. Except for you and a few others, most black women will go on and on about how there are light eyes and straighter hair in Africa and maybe that is true, but c'mon who are we kidding here. That is horrible what happened to you- good for you for suing. I've heard the same thing from other black women..about being followed around in stores like they were about to steal. And it must be so frustrating that when you seem angry white people say you are angry for no reason because well, there is no racism anymore (like haven't you noticed). I agree with you on that. The same thinking goes for other dark women of the world. The media trys to make darker indian women and middle eastern women think something is wrong with them. The Media especially in certain countrie's shines a light that dark is bad! Just as they've been doing with African women ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) . They even go so far as to put darker women in a negative light on subjects such as relationships and additude they display darker women as being wild or loud in short not is favorable as lighter women and so on. I could go on and on the proof is in the pudding. And it's as plain as day. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

If you use an angolan to play the role of a black south african it's not that bad, But if you use a chinese to play the role of a south african that's fallacy. It's acceptable to see Brad pitt playing Hannibal, But a black guy playing Hannibal is UNACCEPTABLE. How is it acceptable for Brad Pitt to play Hannibal.....Maybe my history is bad...wasn't Hannibal from North Africa.......a Moor...the same blacks that rampaged the southern Italians for years....thus the dark skinned Sicilians who hate being called Guinneas because it means "little black coin"? Has Brad Pitt had a makeover that I don't know about? Welcome aboard Bro....maybe we can get him to play JC in the sequel to "Passion of the Christ"!!!!!!!

I'd like to retract part of my last expulsion....I have since learned (this interenet...what a concept...Thanks Al Gore) that there are white moors as well as black moors so Brad Pitt COULD play a white Moor....jsut not Hannibal who was a black Moor. Or in the words of the late great Emily Latella......."Nevermindddd...."

Brad Pitt - only if he dyed his hair and wore contact lenses. ...and a curlier hair he'd be perfect for the role. -if I had to choose a european acter, I would choose De niro: ![](http://www.newgenevacenter.org/portrait/hannibal.jpg) ![](http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/PEPH/RD1C3.jpg)

Hmm...Maybe Hannibal was from India? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) That would satisfy everyone...semi-white, semi-black in appearance...plus those elephants... Yes, then say "moors were semi-white, semi-black in appearance" and consequently that modern berbers are just arabs. See fake moors: ![](http://www.jskonline.com/belala-img/AlbumsPhoto/4/12.jpg)

Poor ignorant american, go to primary school again. Attacks on my primary school education do nothing for your warth and sensitivity rating.....go back to church and get a heart and some feelings....or better than that...make some human friends..then you could spend your time actually communicating with people instead of getting callises on your typing fingers attacking those that you know nothing of on a box in a small lonely room.

Next time don't teach me the history of my people brainless american, otherwise you'd be answered the same way.

Wes, Hannibal was not a Moor. He may have had Berber blood, but he was a Carthaginian, derived from Phoenicia in the Levant. If I had to cast someone to play Hannibal, I would start with a Lebanese. It's unfortunate that great Lebanese actors like F. Murray Abraham and Tony Shalhoub are a little too old to play the hero, but they could certainly be given secondary roles. The Carthaginians were not black. Hannibal was not black. There is simply no disputing that. Just because he could have had black blood doesn't mean he did, or it's even likely that he did. With that logic one might as well cast Denzel to play Leif Ericson. The only reason Hannibal and the Carthaginians are being negricized by Afrocentric sources is because they lived in Africa. But Africa is a continent, not a race.

I wasn't trying to teach you history my overly sensitive and proud African collegue...this forum is meant to open minds and hopefully enlighten those like myself who may not have had the eductional advatages that you obviously had. It is not a place for gloating or making rude overtures to those like myself who are only trying to grow and improve themselves. The education that I have gotten being an oppressed decendant in a country that has never wanted me here far outweighs all of the book knowledge that you may have. You could learn sometime about compassion and sensitiity from a "brainess american" like myself. Educate...don't masticate.

What you say is PC, an ideological view of life, there are races more beautiful than others that's a reality not an opinion. Many people say: that family is better looking than that one, french are better looking than germans, but when it comes to races... brainwashed people assault you before you dare saying a word!! But I didn't say that people should transform their appearance, I'm personally against that, because it is deceiving and does not allow the refining of unwanted genes/individuals. If what I say is PC then why is it when Leonardo DiCaprio and Giselle Bundchen went into the Amazon interior to "interact" with the isolated indigenous tribes, the natives considered them unattractive, whereas Western society considers them amongst the most beautiful people in the world? Beauty is purely subjective, not politically correct. Again just because something is beautiful in your society doesn't make it universally so. If you ever do go visit an isolated Amazonian or Sub-saharan tribal community don't be shocked when you AREN'T able to convince the natives that they aren't beautiful because they don't look like you.

I was under the impression that Black males were more physically attractive then white males in American society, but I could be wrong(its not like I ask girls which is more attractive). I also heard a rumor that those "jewasians" are even more physically attractive. ;D ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
