Ah, yes, the grand Turkish superiority I've been looking for. And how horrible and unsuccessful European culture is even though it is in today's world the most peaceful of the world, yet still successful... while the Ottoman Empire even in it's glorious peak (200 years ago, mind you) was still imperialistic and well... a thief of cultures. Talk to a Greek about that one. You're right: I can't live with multiculturalism. It is chaotic and self-destructive. Look at the USA for a great modern example of the vitues of multiculturalism. I want to live in my own little part of the world like me and have no one bother me. Iceland is a great example of that. Finally, if Turkey is so much better, why are Turks leaving in droves for European countries? Shouldn't we all be flocking to Turkey, the land of perfection and glory?
Turkey's not the worst place in the world (I can think of some places about 5th or 6th world) but it's still pretty bad. To ME, at least. If Turkey thinks it's doing so fine, stay in Turkey and don't recieve assistance from other governments.
In some places it's legal to own a gun. Some places it's illegal to kill an unborn child, but legal to kill a man if he invades your property. In some places it's illegal to be affiliated with the Nazi Party. Some places is a big place. And also, a "great" part of the Ottoman Empire WAS the differences of laws placed on people based on their religion, ethnicity, etc. Muslims would be governed by different laws than Jews, etc. But what happens when someone exerts their laws on those who don't follow them?
As long as Turks consider themselves Turks while living in Germany, they haven't integrated. There are a huge number of valuable people born in Turkey who came to Germany for a new life, and achieved it. But they are not Turks. At the most they are Turkish-Germans.
Your grand multiculturalism is so great that when a Turkish citizen does something wrong then all of a sudden he's a Gypsy, or Kurd, etc. This is the error of multiculturalism: individualism which ends up making ALL fail.
If you're so much better than us, what are your plans when/if you enter the EU? And why join if you're better? Why is it that for 200 years now your laws have been similar, and now in a span of a few years you make huge, radical changes and propose entering the EU? I'd love to hear.
If you don't want to be Europeans, please don't come to Europe. I promise I'll never come to Turkey. Live how you wish, but don't bother me. I'm not Nazi: they thought they were perfect. We have our huge share of problems, but they are German problems and we don't want Turkish problems as well. Killing someone for politics? What do you mean? Strange that everyone hates Germany for 60 years even though we've done everything we can (and also were forced to) to fix the problem, formally apologized, pretty much founded the EU and bore the brunt of its costs, (the UK's economy was a huge factor as well), and Germany has been aggressively against all wars since, but oh, we're still rabid Nazis.
But about your response...
Exactly. Thanks a lot for helping me out. Saves a lot of work on my part.
P.S. I need to just talk biodiversity on a biodiversity forum...
