It was just talk. Actions speak louder than words. Don't look at what people say. Look at what they do.

A lot of Latin Americans feel resentment towards the North American Gringo types (WASP as you say, in the broadest sense of the word, maybe beyond the sense of the word), but they seem to like, or not resent, Germans too much-- often blond Central Europeans. It's ok in some countries, and not in far-right company, to say things like: "Thanks to German immigration we have improved the race..."

It is the anglo phobia inherited from spain, against english and dutch protestantism and their calvinist trade ethics and comercial practices, and americans are seen as the offspring of the english.
It is not anti white or anti north european
Germany and the Nordic countries are seen as very different in comparison to the anglo world

of course they are protestant, (those north of bavaria I mean)
but Germany (and the nordic countries) never had a great history as a colonial power like england, spain, and they always had a rather close economy with a big state, welfare system, in comparison to england, from the moment they industrialized, to hitler and corporativism, and even to this day they have been more on the keynesian side, now Merkel wants to reform their economy, we will see.

I was only talking about the German economy and their trade ethics all this time, comparing them to those of the english/dutch the anglo phobia inherited from Spain whose empire was gone in the early XIX century is not related to a middle XX century genocide. And I wouldnt call the german colonial empire a great empire, it was a bunch on shitholes, the kalahari desert, new guinea, lol Of course they were horrible to the poles and jews, I consider germans to be one of the most destructive nations in the history of makind, from the sack of Rome, to the reformation, to the 2 worls wars and the genocide, at least they gave us some good music. Sincerely, I rate Germans at the same level of the Turks.

You can not compare Kingdom of Spain conquest to brutal protestant colonism.NO WAY IN HELL! The Kingdom of Spain (like the Portuguese) was based on christian morality I suggest everyone to pick up and read www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375502041/103-3541726-1423045?v=glance&n=283155you will find the only Empire to hold deep discustions on its purpose of conquest are the Iberian ones. Are you for real? You sound like your portraying the Spanish as if they were doing the natives a favor by invading them with "purposeful" conquest. p.s. I wonder if the Cubans or Filipinos would agree with the Spanish being so much more caring than WASP.

It wasn't any more purposeful than any other conquest by any other people. It was,it was done in the honor of Christianity Obviously it wasn't. It was conquest, which is an inflection of the word conquer, which means to defeat, subjugate and exploit. Which is in stark contrast to peaceful and altruistic Christianizing.

One thing I have to point out is that Cubans are not descendants of the original inhabitants of the island. A good portion are descendants of Spaniards and, as far as I know, don't have a negative view of their "cousins" in Spain.
The blacks and those who are mixed were subjugated and exploited.
Also, it wasn't in honor of Christianity. It was economic. Christianity was always secondary.
