Here are some other Jewish stereotypes: Thoughtful, brave in the face of persecution (not just from society or Nazis, but from individuals), perseverent, intelligent, resourceful, brutally honest, observant. The Scoobie’s list of stereotypes is unfortunately incomplete. For example, there is persistent belief that Jews do not discriminate against people of other faiths and that the Jews are Openhanded Generous Unprejudiced Welcoming Good Immune to avarice ...etc.

berschneider ;D Well, my artwork might be a little more interesting than me. This even has a Mediterranean theme: "Spanish Girl with her Parrot and Cats"

But, getting back to Jews...my brother, unlike me, goes to synagogue and practices the religion. One day, he told me, in front of his wife and children, that he didn't like any of the people at the synagogue. I said to him, "Then, why bother going?" He turned red, and went,"Shhh...the kids are here." It really didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Another time, he announced, "Jews are a strange bunch." I asked, "How so?" He then said, "They're all just...kind of...odd." Somehow, we got interrupted. I would have loved to have heard exactly with detail what he meant. I don't look at HIM as odd; he's rather a regular type of guy, a good person.

By the way, I never said you are not interesting, I just said your-self described traits are not interesting (see above) because they are so typical.

I was at a flea market, and a woman sold me some vintage (probably 1960's - 1970's) dolls. Each doll represented a European country and wore a traditional costume. This one was labelled "Spain!" The German doll has the same face but has blonde hair ;D

I am not very good at this, but it could be from Asturias (look for "Oviedo" on a Map).

Many years ago, my grandfather came back from vacation and gave me some beautiful dolls which were made in Spain. I didn't care for dolls when I was a child, but I liked these! They wore red dresses with black lace and long, dangly earrings. I don't have them anymore.
