Below is a link to Gerhard Schroeder's take on the American rebuilding effort in Iraq. Apparently, European leaders are upset because the big contracts for rebuilding Iraq are going to nations that supported the war -- thus excluding France, Germany and Russia. What I find pathetic is that Schroeder's criticism is limited to the exclusion of Germans and those siding with Germany over the potential benefits of these lucrative contracts. So this is based on money as opposed to morality. This more than anything ought to tell people how morally bankrupt Mr. Schroeder is -- a man who seems to try to play it both ways between the American hegemonic view and the anti-war sentiment among Germans and other Europeans. Gerhard Schroeder is a coward, plain and simple. He is a man without principles. The fact that he got elected as Chancellor proves more than anything how corrupt the political system in Germany is -- I say it's much worse than the American system. When Bush says that Germany, France and Russia should forgive Iraq's foreign debt to get a pice of the pie, he must be joking! Correction: the man is the utter joke...
