I am a guest on a few forums and I have noticed that some forums have an ignore this member function. I think it would be a good idea for this forum. There are members of Dodona who are sophists, spoilers, have ideological bents who are just annoying and contribute nothing but try to aggrievate and call others names like racist for accepting in the existence of human races. I have negative opinions of those ideologues and fanatics but I try not to express it. The Mission Statement mentions: freedom of speech, realism, learning. These ranters are not at Dodona to express free speech but to rant and rave about their ideology and fanatism and to abuse the privilege of freedom of speech. Freedom requires discipline and self control, and the knowledge that there are appropriate ways to express oneself. How is going on about there are no races and anyone who accepts the existence of races is racist, realistic, rational or clear headed in a biodiversity forum? Sounds like a definition of irrationality to me like becoming a minister in a christian church and exclaiming an atheistic belief or Arianism. Learning is not taking place just ravings and rantings on ideological beliefs with no scientific or rational basis. In short, either have a ignore feature or moderate those negative posters who are at Dodona to abuse and denigrate.

Unfortunately an "ignore function" is not available at this time, however we do reserve ourselves the right to exclude from participating in this forum those that insist on disrupting the discussions with irrational or offensive remarks.

Why not delete offensive or inappropriate posts? I am sure proboards allows that function.

Why is it OK for some posters to denigrate others without a whimper from any moderator.
For example: **SIGH****, sounds like someone has hurt feelings. Your incoherent ramblings amounts to nothing Igu. You obviously have a inferiority complex because since you acknowledge **YOURSELF** that your people have done nothing, you feel a need to put down other people[African-Americans] to make yourself feel like something.
Or to call someone a liar, the same poster to the same person. Or to declare someone's thoughful posts ramblings. I have just checked some of that members posts and found example after example of inappropriate language yet no censure, nothing.
