Is there anyway that a thread that had drastically strayed off course could have the later unrelated posts moved to a new thread by the Admins. This way the original mission of the thead could be preserved and the new spawned thread could have a life of its own. I think this would make it easier for readers to distinguish what is being discussed in each thread more easily - especially if they are just viewing titles alone. What do others think?

Good idea pconroy. Something similar could be done with threads that have already been exhausted or closed, where they could be purged of irrelevant commentary and saved as reference for everybody.
