When I first came to Dodona I loved it. Now it seems that each ethnicity tries to claim ownership of a certain group in their classifications, social information, and physical attributes. No one "owns" a particular race or ethnic group. Planet Asia thinks he the Alpha and the Omega when it comes to everything Black or African. He resorts to insults and rude comments when he doesn't feel he can control another person's opinion and twist facts and purposefully misinterprets another person's post to claim their "ignorance" or error. In the beginning, Planet Asia/Charlie Bass convinced me he was different and open-minded gentleman but he is harsh, egotistical, and doesn't feel he can ever be wrong. I actually defended him on Dodona and backed up his claims about Black positivity. I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel if more black men could be like Planet Asia and be empowered. Now, I feel like I made a poor decision because if Charlie Bass/Planet Asia is supposed to represent "Blackness" and "Africa" then my opinion has changed for the worse. Black men are preceived as aggressive, angry, and confrontational. Charlie/Planet Asia claims to be educated, eloquent, and a gentleman. I don't think a true bible-toting Christian Southern gentleman would call an adult woman who has never offended him "pathetic". Planet Asia's behavior has reached the level of "Trolldom" as of late. As far as I am concered, I would question the credibility of someone who claims to be an expert on a culture that he chooses to misrepresent with episodes of poor character and immaturity. You can know every factual statistic, every chart, pie graph, and case study-I don't care. If you are trying to convince people that they have been wrong about an entire culture and/or race of people then you reaffirm the negative perceptions by being disrespectful to another human being you've just taken two steps back and conviced many on here that they are right and will continue to be. People on here like Planet Asia as well as his comrades of SSA decent are extremely sensitive and jump to personal insults before they listen and fully read a person's posts. This sensitivity induced insulting will prevent people from ever becoming fully educated on another's culture and will add more of a negative impact. Please stop claiming what I don't know about SSA/African-Americans/Black. My mind is vast, open, and experienced. I've seen more world than you, Planet Asia. I've probably done more in my few years than you have so I do not think it is correct for you to assume that I am ignorant because my opinions and knowlege of the "Black World" does not perfectly mesh with yours. dodona.proboards35.com/index.cgi?board=anythinggoes&action=display&thread=1137963510

It took me long enough. I don't deserve to be attacked. I've never insulted Planet Asian/Charlie Bass and even took several attacks for him. The foul language, the insults, and verbal "beat downs" have been totally unnecessary lately.

^^Tyra's "Social Whiteness" which is a valid fact. I can do a thesis on it if you'd like more proof.
I never said she was phenotypically White. I did say that she blended physically with the whites standard of beauty defined b/c of her hairstyle, features, eyes, and mannerisms which come from a career in acting/modeling and basically being 'sexy' as a career.

Im assuming its indirect because as far as I can tell theres no axe to grinde from your part, you seem very sincere. But when you regularly write stuff like: "Her (Beyonce Knowles') socio-economic status, physical beauty, and her fame allows her a privelage given typically to avearage white people." So a Black person has to be as pretty and rich as Beyonce, and become as famous as her to ever dream about enjoying some of the priveleges given to white people? wow...whether you realize it or not arountheworld, you put whites on a ridicilous pedestal, and alot of your opinions are Whether you realize it or not, your many dismissive remarks towards us will be seen as an affront and will antagonize the black posters here. Its hard pointing it out to you though since you do not flame bate and because of your frankness and humility, like Drooperdoo, its harder to engage in heated debates with posters you perceive as good natured.

^^Facts do not equate dismissive marks. Society itself needs to change. I just state what happens. If people weren't so obsessed with certain looks Beyonce wouldn't be as popular. I personally love Oleta Adams and Desiree' but they don't sell as many records b/c they don't have long blonde hair and gold skin.

It's not me that needs to be jumped on. Do like I do and write letters to CEO's of companies. When they put a giant photo of Beyonce in a miniskirt and bustierre on a Black History poster I was apalled. They put Dr. Mae Jemison in a tiny photo behind Beyonce's earring. I do not put whites on pedistals but simply state that society does. The media keeps perpetuating Euro-standards of beauty and it's not fair b/c people are so easily brainwashed. I've gotten into arguments with people who call Venus and Serena ugly. I think Serena is gorgeous. Maybe my comments are perceived as offensive or antagonistic b/c most SSA on here are on the defense about many issues. I can understand that but I still don't thin it's fair to attack without first getting a full understanding. Like I said before, things can easily be misinterpreted via the internet. Perhaps sitting face-to-face over coffee is better than trying to express with a keyboard.

I looked up tina Knowles genealogy. I paid for a subscription to do online access for friends/family and out of curiosity looked up a lot on Melungeons b/c I have Melungeon friends. You said your mom is the same background but that technically makes her a quadroon or 1/4 SSA. If she claims to be or identifies as Black then that is her right. If she is a true southern woman who is Christian as well I don't think she would approve of her son speaking in such a manner to a woman. That is not the way. Gentlemen don't behave like that. From what I've seen you need to go to the tree and pick out a switch.

If you are truly a southerner(and not a NY'er in disguise) then you know not to act like you've been doing.
Now go and bring me a switch.

I'm sorry but names like Quadroon, Octoroon and mulatto are downright offensive, they sound like names for animals and it the case of mulatto[which comes from the word I think] this is very offending. My mother is a southern lady a proud one and I'm grown now so she doesn't mind. Calling your words pathetic is not talking down on you as a person. I don't insult women unless the name is Trog. I'm well into my 20s, tell me young lady, who's gonna whip my tail at this age? LOL, go and get a switch, LOLOLOL!

Do you have a grandmother? A bar of soap. I'll still put you over my knee. I have a hickory tree and a magnolia. Good switches for the picking.
