Who is the man on the cover of "Time" magazine which is displayed as your avatar? That man is Salvador Dalí.

It is interesting to note that Galvez, while praising the Mediterranean physical type and despising the Nordics, choose a photo of a blond man as his avatar... ehehehhe

Salvador Dali does not appear to be Nordic. He presents a typically Spanish phenotype. Dali with his sister. Dali in 1933.

What do you think of Dalí’s supposed homosexual relationship with García Lorca? Propaganda, truth, an invention of Ian Gibson or what?

I have indeed heard that both García Lorca and Dalí, especially the former, had homosexual tendencies. Now that they were "special friends" is new to me.

I have no doubt García Lorca, who was nevertheless a very good writer, was gay, but I’m somewhat skeptical of Dalí.<br>

García Lorca was more or less open about his sexual tendencies. It is fashionable nowadays, especially amongst the pro-homosexual lobby, to claim that important figures of the past were gay.

Dali is not blond nor Nordic, Tautalos. By the way, I am part Irish and French, and have Galician and Catalan ancestry. So your anti-Nordic accusation is invalid.

Yeah I agree I’ve even heard claims Saint Augustine had gay tendencies go figure. García Lorca even wrote a poem.” Oda a Walt Whitman” that talks explicitly about Gays. Here’s the poem in Spanish: www.arrakis.es/~galdergl/poesia/lorca.htmThe English translation: www.artofeurope.com/lorca/lor1.htmAlways against you, who give boys drops of foul death with bitter poison. Always against you, Fairies of North America, Pájaros of Havana, Jotos of Mexico, Sarasas of Cádiz, Apios of Seville, Cancos of Madrid, Floras of Alicante, Adelaidas of Portugal.
Faggots of the world, murderers of doves! Slaves of women. Their bedroom bitches. Opening in public squares like feverish fans or ambushed in rigid hemlock landscapes.

The "Med" who finds Nordic women most attractive doesn't like my choice of avatars The Med who finds Nordic women most attractive, couldn't care less about Galvez's choice of avatars. Dali is not blond, but your previous avatar was. Really? So, you consider that having Irish and French blood is being partially Nordic? About the anti-nordic aspect, well, you did show that atttitude more than once, not me - you show that to the extent of criticizing other people's tastes in what concerns women, like a sort of fundamentalist Mediterranist would do... ;D

Really? So, you consider that having Irish and French blood is being partially Nordic? My maternal grandfather -- who is part Irish and French -- is depigmented, has pure light eyes, and is dolichocephalic. He is largely Nordic. His daughter (my mom) is so light-skinned that you can see her veins through her skin (a doctor referred to her as "blue blood"). Her bone structure, though, is more UP. Her eyes are light or light-mixed. Her brother (my uncle) has pink skin. I'd say this is evidence that I have Nordic ancestry somewhere along the way. It is, incidentally, in this part of my line where I have the Irish. My dark skin comes from my dad, who is Andalusian (he is either fully or mostly Alpinid). My mom's side is either non-Mediterranid or only partially Mediterranid. I suppose this is why many classifiers detect Bruenn or Alpine or other Upper Paleolithic in me. Anyway, the responses to my photos were given in the "How Galvez Was Classified" thread. I classify myself as a Med only because of pigmentation, with perhaps some Alpine or Bruenn. I might even have a Dinaric tendency, because my nose has an aquiline shape.
