Henry Coanda - Romanian genious

Henry Coanda(1886-1972)was first person who created JET ENGINE and first operational JET AIRPLANE in 1910!!!!!.
He was engeneer and physicist.He researched mechanics of gas streams.
One physical effect in gas machenic is called 'Coanda effect'.
I have seen myself picture of his jet airplane,and that airplane really worked and flew!However construction and design of airplane was to obsolete for that kind of propulsion.
Airplanes in that times where made of wood and fibres...

His airplane was not rocket airplane,but true JET airplane,whith real jet engine...

Great post. I will do some research on Mr. Coanda to verify this. Southern Slavs -- who have significant Mediterranean blood in them, I believe -- have made important contributions as well.

Tesla is a perfect example of an eminent southern Slav who has made important contributions: some say he was the greatest inventor of all time (note: I am not saying he was a Med; I am saying that some Slavs, particularly from the south, are likely to have a lot of Med within them).
