actually I read that the famous 'fasces' (bundles of sticks with an axe in the middle) carried by romans (used by the Mussolini for the imagery of his movement hence the name: fascist) was of etruscan origin since it was found in an etruscan toomb. the Etruscan ethnicity is almost impossible to tell. few skulls (Luispaniard posted a few) dodona.proboards35.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=informative&thread=1122896191Coon said that these skulls had a mesocefalic mean, narrow forehead and wide parietals. he compared them to Cappadocians (dolico) skulls from the Hittite period and to Bronze age Dinarics (Bracky) from Cyprus. But this was only the upper class that migrated from Asia Minor I think the bulk of the Etruscan people were actually the continuation of the 'Villanovian' cultures of prehistoric Italy
