He said Niger not Nigeria, Aadan. OK. I once met this guy from who was Fulani(Mauritania) he was very dark. He looked very Somali, I confused him for a Somali. Funny thing is that his family was mixed, I didn't believe him until I saw his sister was very light lol. I also met this girl from Chad who had an Arab father, she looked kind of Somali. I have yet to see a anyone from Chad in person who is not Arab or part Arab. By the way Somalis would definitely stick out in Africa unless it's the Horn of Africa. Here are two unmixed Somali politician, tell me where they would fit in Africa aside from the horn region. He might fitin in South Africa......kinda looks like a Cape Malay Cape malays:

Libaax, ever heard a sub-clan in the south called Ashraaf? They live I think in Walloweyn and Mogadishu they say they descend from the prophet, but they are the most mixed Somalis I ever saw. I saw in one group a woman that looked fully Arab and a man that looked Bantu. They speak Af-mai dialect...I think Raxanweyn people are actually the most mixed people out of Somalia (with Oromo, Bantu or even Arab/Persian)

I heard that the languages differ as much as Spanish and Portugese differ. They are perhaps one of the oldest Somali groups only surpassed by some groups of Dir confederation. They have Somali blood if not pure, no doubt about that but I know for a fact that they are the original settlers of central Somalia befor the clans that settle at Hiraan, Gedo, Bay,Bakool and Mudug came. Which leads me to believe that they were Oromo's who were absorbed during the Somali expansion. There is also another story about Rahanweyn/Digil iyo Mirifle. They are just another confederation from all clans. Ashraf are those people who claim descent from th Nabi PBUH. Maybe they are just Barawe's with a different name that would explain why some look Bantu and why others appear to look Arab. For the most part the Ashraf I have seen look Somali just look at the speaker of the Somali government Sharif Hassan; he looks like a regular Somali person.

They were in many older systems considered (West-) Aethiop(o)id, they show obviously a combination of racial traits.

No such thing as a "West Ethiopoid", that useless anthropological jargon from Skadi, I even remember a poster on Skadi with a thread about so-called "Ethiopoids" in West Africa, nonsense!
