Question: Were the Iberians of Hispania related to the Ibero-Caucasians en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian_people of Georgia? Were these Iberians of Georgia related to the North African Iberians who settled in Spain? I couldn't find any relevant info on these Ibero-Caucasians of Georgia and wikipedia doesn't have any. ¿?

EDIT: In case they are related, I wasn't aware the Iberians got that far in their journeys. I knew that some Iberians wind up in North Europe and possibly the British Islands... but not the Caucasus Any more Iberian migrations I am not aware of?

There is a hipothesis that links Basque to the Caucasian languages. It's not completely accepted, though. Some linguists and philologists who accept this hipothesis call the Caucasian languages and Basque "Ibero Caucasian". In my humble opinion, Basque is it's own group. People have tried to group it together with all kinds of languages in the world, from Etruscan to Tibetan to Amerindian languages. Needless to say, humongous ammounts of time were wasted writing and reading these studies, which were mostly bullshit. I can hardly wait untill someone publishes something trying to prove that Basque is related to Australian aborigene or khoisan languages. So, from what I've read, Ibero Caucasian is a hipothetical language group, not an ethnicity, subrace, nationality or anything like that. I've just found something: www.wordiq.com/definition/Languages_of_the_CaucasusIt talks about the ibero-caucasian languages. Says that the Iberian thing has nothing to do with the Iberian peninsula (but with the Caucasian Iberia, which I didn't know - live and learn!) and that the links with Basque were indeed superficial, to say the list.
