Children of same race but mixed ethnicity and “sub-race”
How would a child look like? I have a friend whose father is Dutch, blond and "normal" looking, and his mother is Iranian (she is rather dark). My friend looks Mediterranean to me (or his looks match my Mediterranean stereotype). His wife is Northern European and blonde. Will the children of this couple be more Mediterranean looking or more like their mother?

The term "subrace" does not denote an inferior race. It denotes a smaller subdivision of a racial group.
E.g. the "white race" can be divided into several subraces such as "Nordic, Mediterranean, Alpine" etc.

I put subrace in parenthesis because I was unsure of the term but thought it is just a part of a greater family - like SUBclassification of something, not a sign of inferiority.

Actually I've noticed that most of the time, children of mixed, for example, northern European/Mediterranean heritage look like the average European person, not definitely one subtype or the other but actually closer to Nordic in my opinion. A more heavily pigmented Nordic or depigmented Mediterranean, whichever way you want to look at it, but most also don't have heavily Mediterranean features. This is actually the basic mix that I'm composed of but in my case, I certainly favor the Mediterranean side and took most of my looks from my father. But really you just never know how the child will come out. I've even seen half white/half Mexican children looking fully white, or even some who are half Afro-American and half white who are quite fair as well, although the tightly curled hair seems like a dominant trait.

I've seen kids who are half Irish/half American blacks who look totally black:) Blackirish Thanks.

Ok good for you, I just said that the European genes can be dominant. As I said before, you never know for sure how the child will look. Some black/white mixes can look more white, as others look predominantly black as well.

Yeah, like, one time, I saw a half-American/half-Canadian guy, only he looked fully American. It was crazy.
