You have problems. You seem to have a short temper and a bad memory. You said I should walk off the edge of a cliff. Remember. If you start a fight with someone make sure the person you try to bully. Mr. 2 m man, won't fight back. You picked on the wrong guy. I can't be bullied and I don't give a fig for Marquis of Queensberry rules. Capisce? Problems? Yes, and you're it. Ok, pal, first of all I was blowing you off for very rudely voicing your opinion towards a person no longer here. Second of all, my post was more of a mere annoyance, unlike yours which was a blatant racial slur. You know, for such a learned and quite talented and might I also say eloquent poster, you aren't very polite are you?

I despise mediocrity, and people like that whining and accusing others of racism because those others challenge its opinions. And I only made my remarks after it left whereas you felt quite free to do all those things you say about me. It is called hypocrisy. Jesus met lots of people like you back in his day. Are you going to stick me on a cross too?
By the way, I smite you everytime I see you. You have certainly earned it. Respect no, smoting yes.
Guys, let's not continue in this ad hom vein. It's important that this place does not become a flame board.

I've taken the AncestrybyDNA test and also the Genographic test. Soon I'm going to convence my little sister to take the Genographic test for our mtDNA. Then that will be it for me unless they come out with something better.

You and your sister have the same mtDNA. It comes from your mother.

Then that will be it for me unless they come out with something better. I bought the Genographic test a few days ago. I wish I had a sister, so she could take their mtDNA test. How results would I get if I got my mom to take the test? I'd still be within the US$100 range if it wasn't by the international shipping they charged me (US$ 29). Sometimes I wish I lived in the USA. On second thought, I guess not...

I don't know much about the Genographic test. Are you and questfortruth saying they are only doing one test? Gee, I am glad, the students at my university did mine for free. I don't have a sister and my mom is thousands of miles away in BC Canada.

it's strange that NGS tests only the Ys. If any, you should pass yourself off as a woman to take the mt test. I'm sure, they will never reveal it.

I spent $219 for the Ancestry by DNA test (97% European, 3% Asian) and $99 for the DNA Heritage haplogroup test (waiting for my results).

Does DNA test is available anywhere around the world ? I would think so. I ordered from www.relativegenetics.com/ the Ydna test 43 markers for $195 USD. We just sent in my Dad's sample which we will try to match to people in Europe. Some other family members did the mtDna for my mother's line and the yDna for her father, both through the Genographic project. Their labs are way overloaded now and we have been waiting on the male result over 4 months (apparently ftdna.com does it and they are apparently many months behind on everyone's tests, too, so it may be much longer before we hear from them). Our mtDna was T2 haplogroup, traced back to a German ancestor about 200 years ago. Before that, not sure where the maternal line was from, but probably same region for some time. Also we bought the autosomal test from DnaPrint for my husband for $219, though that test is less scientifically accepted. He wants to see how much Native American shows up in his result, since he has quite a few Cherokee ancestors (and perhaps some Chickasaw and Creek) but is not sure what their percentages were or how many there actually are. Awaiting those results now. I might order that, too, since people always ask me what race I am

Well I received my results from the Genographic project done by National Geographic and these are the results I received. I belong to the haplogroup E3B a lineage defined by a genetice marker M35. I do not know how to decypher the STR's but I will list mine and hopefully and I can receive a better explanation from someone who knows. DYS393-13, DYS19-13, DYS391-10, DYS439-13, DYS389 1 AND 2 13 AND 17, DYS388-12, DYS390-24, DYS426-11, DYS385a-16, DYS385b-18, DYS392-11.

If you go to : www.mitosearch.org/ for the mtDNA and www.ysearch.org/ for the yDna, you can input your data and find people with your specific markers and see where they are from, contact them, etc.

He is reported as about 85% European and 15% Native American with no report of Asian or Sub-Saharan African. We thought it might be less NA since it was mostly colonial times that we know of (before 1800s) but after we got it and were telling some relatives, an older person confided that his father's side also has at least one NA g-grandparent! So we managed to dig out more of his family history and are avidly investigating the new lead
