Do you have to register at Skadi to be able to see them?

I was saying 'mediterranid' in the terms that could mean both Mediterranean and Nordic because you said we should disregard pigmentation. The men from the first plate all are probably not from south-European origin, so you can understand my mentioning of 'mediterranid' as anything ranging from Corded, Nordics, Pontids, Danubians etc.

Dare I say Serbia or Ukraine? All could pass for Ukrainians, but that's not saying much. First two on the first plate: Northwest Russians of Illmen type. Second two on first plate: Northeastern Russians of Vyatka-Kama type. First and second on plate #2, Southern Russian of Desna-Seima type (bordering the Ukraine). Third and fourth on the same plate are of Don-Sursk (Ryazan) type.

I thought that the first plate was Ukrainians and the second plate Italians How would you classify them? I would classify them as (in descending order) Nordic with Baltic admixture, Nordic with heavier Baltic admixture, East Baltic, East-Baltic, Mediterranean+East Baltic, pure Mediterranean, Mediterranean-Borreby and Nordic.

I think that East-Baltics are Cro-Magnid, and not mongoloid-admixture.

I think that East-Baltics are Cro-Magnid, and not mongoloid-admixture. Baltics are definitely Cro-Magnid. On the other hand, it seems that East-Baltics are Baltics modified by Uralolappinoid inlfuence. I never denied Mongoloid admixture in Russians; however, the fact is, it's origin lies in assimilation of Finnic tribes, not mythical 'Mongol rapes', and it's really quite slight. It only becomes a problem when people completely blow it out of proporition. Personally, I am certain that the Mongoloid contribution to the Russian genepool is in the low double digits (3-5%). P.S. Have you ever noticed how people seemingly obsessed with Mongoloid admixture in Russians are themselves often of extremely questionable ancestry? The Magyar-Finnish individual who went by the moniker "NordicPower88" on AraynDawn/skadi comes to mind...

The only thing that bothers me about these obsessive purists is that none of them have ever posted their picture.

The only thing that bothers me about these obsessive purists is that none of them have ever posted their picture. The reason is because a large number, if not most of them are not Nordic. For example, the member who goes by the moniker volksdeutsche, a self-described Nordicist, is 3/4 Azerbaijani and part Russian; the fact that he has no extant German ancestry does not stop him from calling himself "volksdutsche", nor does the fact that he is part Russian stop him from referring to Russians as "gooks." I posted his picture on skadi and Dienekes classified him as a Mediterranean type with Baltic admixture (not surprising, given his predominantly Middle Eastern ancestry). The picture was later removed, and I was chastised for posting in, even though it's freely available on the Internet. I was also cautioned for using voksdeutsche's given name, Babak. Perhaps the most hilarious of all was Sigrun Christianson warning me not to talk about volksdeutsche's racial type, when I commented about him being Mediterranean, because his racial type is supposedly "private information". I for one fail to see how something that's share by over a 100 million people is 'private information.'

Touchy You can post anything you like here, as long as it's apropriate, I won't stop you from that.
