... I don't see why ... because of her cheeks and smile. Typical mongoloid. Of course this not an evidence, it could be problems with the photo(showing false and disproportionate traits 'cause of the angle). And you can find these traits in full europids too, the cheeks could be from East Baltic ancestry(My sister has these cheeks to, we are 1/4 Lithuans, and she was classified as East Baltic). Alpines can have these cheeks too. I hope these features i talked about(cheeks and smile) were the traits Artemisia analyzed! ;D |

The smile don't say many things too. Of course it is a forced smile, her natural smile should be more normal(not to say prettier 'cause i liked her in this photo  ) what deforms totally her traits in the photo. And even this smile can be perfectly med/din and of course, East Baltid. |

The first respondent was right. She is Lena Horne and she is African-American.
Obviously, she is not full black.
She comes from a predominately light-skinned famiy. Many of whom can pass for white.
If you trace her ancestry, she is related to 19th century politician John C Calhoun.

Her teeth do resemble Negroid teeth, but in that picture there wasn't much else. ( plus, there was a possibility that she had fake teeth ).

Without her background, i don't see a way to know if she's mongoloid or negroid, since her non-europeans(i'd say atypical in Europe) traits are shared by both groups. |

She's probably a quadroon or some other kind of mostly white mulatto.
Maybe New Orleans creole.
