Hmmm, excellent taste ;D
Seriously, I think that she might be some sort of Celtic-Nordic?... In a few of those pictures, she reminded me slightly of Michelle Pfeiffer.

Some sort of Nordic-Alpine. There is an elusive quality about Australian women that makes them look similar to each other. I don't know whether it has to do with a founder effect or it's culturally acquired.

Yes, Dienekes, I noticed that myself. Most Australian actresses resemble eachother somehow, and they look incredibly hot too. But, I think it's not ancestry, it's something acquired because a lot of them are not from founder families. Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Holly Valance ( she's Slavic ) and Naomi Watts ( perhaps you know of a few more ). NICOLE KIDMAN HOLLY VALANCE NAOMI WATTS What would you say is the thing that connects their phenotype ( except for the hotness ) ?

Hello Holly! AWAR, what is her background?

I've read on a couple of sites that Holly is Yugoslavian. Since Yugoslavia is no more, and since only Serbs are so dim to call themselves still 'Yugoslavian', I guess she's either from a Serbian, or a mixed Serbo-Croat marriage.
BTW I'm a Serb, so it's OK for me to insult my people ;D

Kylie is half-Welsh via her mother, Holly vallance is half-English via her mother.
Naomi Watts is completely English who immigrated to Australia when she was a teenager.

Hang on guys, we Australians are a nation of immigrants, some of us very recent immigrants. A quarter of us can apply for EU passports!
Kylie Minogue has a Welsh mother and her surname is Irish. She is also diminutive. So the Nordic/Keltic is a bit off. She's mainly Keltic. Her sister Dannii Minogue has black hair, blue eyes and is taller - more Irish Keltic.
Holly's mother is English and her father south Slav which one, who cares! Yes she looks very Slavic.
Naomi Watts is probable Anglo, that is mainly English in origin, so North European in type.
Kidman comes from a old established Australian family connected to the a branch of the Kidman dynasty. She was born in Hawaii and is therefore a US citizen by birth. She is Roman Catholic which in Australia among the older European immigrants means Irish in origin. She is very tall. She's Keltic.
There's also Cate Blanchett. Her father is American. Zoe Carides is an Australian actress. In former days there was Diane Cilento. There are many Australian actresses in Europe and the US.

You can say that again...The one I find most attractive of all (that AWAR posted ) is Watts, especially in Ring movie. She kinda reminds me of a nice girl that kinda...taught me a few things ;D in my teens! nice one ;D Both Kylie Minogue (despite her diminutive size) and Naomi Watts (she may be born overseas, not sure) are good examples of the Australian anglo/keltic type. Nicole Kidman is infact from a prominant pastoral family as Graeme stated. She has a more Irish/keltic phenotype. Australia isn't as Blonde centric as some people overseas think.
