you know what ethiopian traditional sounds like? well listen to this and the musical scale and method of singing is almost identical!!!!! www.oren.jp/music/m2_02.mp3www.oren.jp/music/m1_05.mp3wadaad, or any somalis on this forum if you have heard amharic traiditional (not too old yet not too new as in cheesy pop) you will know what i am talking about...lol

LOL, yeah I do hear the resemblence to Amharic music...funny a friend of mine once heard me play a Somali song and thought it sounded quite Oriental, almost Chinese. Gelaye, check out this old school song from 1960... sounds similar to your Japanese song, except its in typical Somali duet style: Aabe Iiman Lahow

yeah the instruments and the chords being used sound really oriental! ive done some reasearch and it turns out that ethiopian/somali music both use the five toned pentatonic scale, which is the same used in Japan. random huh?
