The Adygey, Cherkess and Kabardin are basically the same people; it's a political division to call them different names because they are in seperate republics. There are also Abazas living in Karachai-Cherkessia but I guess they were lumped under Cherkess as they are not the dominant ruling ethnicity. In Russian they are called Abazin. Abazins are actually Abkhazians who had crossed the mountains and settled on the Northern side when the Mongols left and speak a very similar language. The general term used in the diaspora is usually "Abaza" for both groups. Abkhazians, Abazins, Adygey and Ubkyhs (now extint in the Caucasus) share family and clan names.
