IMHO, I think that Renfrew was right about Proto-IE, then, I think IE developed in the Balkans, and spread into the teritory of modern Ukraine and southern Russia, from there, the horsemen who used iron weapons quicklu spread it into a much larger area ( previously dominated by Finno-Ugrians ).

As far as I know, scientists don't agree on that. There's no objective proof they came from any specific place. Hell, there are even people who say they never existed as a single people in the first place. Anyway, when you say something is "wrong", you should explain why. this map is incorrect.true map of indo-european homeland is this:
