I don't know if this belongs here, but I'll ask anyways...
I have this weird thing. My skin gets darker in winter. my skin colour is between pale and Med. white. it's more like Balkans white. in the winter it turns bronze/reddish, something like that Italian football player Totti my question, is this some kind of trait?
donno if this matter, but I can handle cold weather better than most people
I am curios to hear your opinions on this silly matter ;D

I think the reason why Totti is more tanned in winter is due to a solarium ;D. Diet also affects your skin tone, it also depends where you live as white snow can give your face a tanned appearance because the UV light is greater. Don't underestimate the winter sun, in a mild winter you can still develop a healthy tan, Maybe your more outdoors in winter?

that is called freezer burn lol (no seriously) some people who are not biologically used to cold weather actually burn in cold regions, perhaps it just seems that your tanning because of lack of natural light during winter? or that the red in ur skin mixed with the brown melanin makes it darker

I am used to cold weather, as I said I can handle cold better than the avg guy. The part about lack of natural light during winter seems accurate though. I try to stay indoor as much as I can during winter heh
thanks for the info.

it can be something you have gotten used to, but genetically your body can change (I myself get dark red during winter, and pale during summer, but i do not tan, i burn and peal)...are you caucasoid? I get dark red because my skin loses any trace of pigmentation and my blood seems to show more through my skin
