why does the 3rd world need a decline in population when 1 child in the west uses more energy and materials than 26 children in the 3rd world. IF anything the West needs a decline in its use of materials[which i doubt will occur]

IF anything the West needs a decline in its use of materials[which i doubt will occur] Why?? So we can use even more energy until 1 child uses as much energy as 100 third world children. Then when the energy supplies run out we can call them terrorists and attack them all.

So Crimson so you think thats the reason why very few couples in San Francisco want to have kids because the more socially liberal a person is the least likely that they are interested in starting a family.

The Ozone expands and contracts.. it's quite natural. Change in global temperature is also natural. Everything is in a state of change. The temperature changed during the middle ages as well. If you're saying increased harmful human activity isn't the cause of environmental problems then...

If you're saying increased harmful human activity isn't the cause of environmental problems then... I'm saying nothing of the sort. It's just not a doomsday scenario we are facing as the environmentalists would like you to believe. If you have no faith in modern technology in relieving the effects that humanity has on the environment then perhaps suicide is an option, or you can attempt to convince humanity to go back into living in huts. Problem is a hut won't have internet access but I'm sure spending 95% of your time struggling with nature will relieve any bordeom you may have.

I'm actually a new comer to the Internet compared to most. I had an aversion towards it for the longest time. I didn't get internet access at home until september of 2002 and I was off it for a year between then and now.
Before 2002 I only used the internet at the university to get information for class.

Which modern technology in the forseeable future will be cable of resotring the O3 to the Ozone layer that has been displaced by O2 and CO2 by our activity? I don't think we'll be around for that day.

Metrosensual, I think we've damaged the ionosphere far more than the media have let on. I mean, damage to the ozone layer has been relegated to environmentalist wackos and college potheads. No news source bothers with it, anymore. Meanwhile airplanes are spraying and making fake clouds all over our skies. Check out this site on the so-called "chem trails" that propagandists try to pass off as "con trails". www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Chemtrails.htmlMy wife and I--who are ultra-conservative, non-liberal, non-environmental, non-green--watch in perplexity as planes spray X's in our skies that turn into fake clouds. We wonder what's really going on.
