Are JWS more common in smaller towns than they are in big cities because I live in the city and I have never in my life (thank God) had JWS knocking at my door. But I have relatives who live in small towns who have been bothered by these people before.

I don't mind people trying to share their religious views with me but just don't come to my house. If they want to hand out leaflets that's fine.

They managed to find my house in the middle of nowhere. My technique is to not answer the door to anyone other than friends, and I say "Sorry, I am busy." I think a better technique is to leave literature lying around in public places. That way, a person is not bothered and can look at it if he chooses. I find it inherently obnoxious to try to convert people in an 'in your face' and disturbing manner such as knocking on doors.

I spend time in Salt Lake City on a regular basis, and I've noticed that the Mormons have an old-fashioned politeness and are quite pleasant to be around despite some of the oddities of the religion. But, my husband has some family members (Protestant Christians) who have lived there for many years and they very much dislike Mormons because they felt shunned by the Mormons in their neighborhood.

I live on the east coast. Since the late 90s I occasionally see young men in pairs, dressed in business suits, walking about. They wear the same suits, have the same haircuts, they're interchangeable. I've been told they were Mormons but I'm not sure. They don't stop people to speak to them about religion or hand out anything - well, I haven't seen any of that. Are these Mormon "missionaries" being sent out to the heathen east coat to convert us, or what? I don't want to ask them personally.

Mormons aren't that bad. All that I've met have been friendly and not all that keen on delivering hellfire sermons to outsiders. They do have a wacky religion, and they do go from door to doo like the JWs, but they're no where near as crazy and fanatical as those Witness bastards.

They are spreading their Mormon religion to as far away countries as Brazil.I was surprised to see Mormon churches when I was in Brazil.I used to think Mormons were almost exclusively made up of Anglo Saxons.
