Gautama Siddhartha was a rather queer follow. Fancy sitting under a tree for so long just to be enlightened.

Happiness is an illusion, suffering is reality. On a level it is true. On another level there is no difference from illusion and reality, they both exist only in our heads.

Happiness is an illusion, suffering is reality. It was buddha who came up with that observation, not me, however I can't say that I believe he was wrong. A world of grief and pain: Flowers bloom; Even then ...- Issa

It does only exist in our heads. I belive it's the perfect balance of endorphins, seratonin, tryptophan, dopamine, etc. in our brains.

It does only exist in our heads. Yes, we may say all exists just in our heads, but somewhat hangovers seem more real than the rest.

Happiness is amaterial, but influenced by your surroundings. I'm closer to a loving melancholy than happiness on the average day. Happiness is worrying about nothing at all, and having nothing to bother you. Llike a sunny day in autumn when the air is just right for a long long walk.

Happiness is fleeting. It is broken by anxiety, then it reappears to be broken again in an endless cycle.

Did you see that unfortunate rider in the Tour de France who slipped and fell on some wet white street markings about 2 km from the finish of the leg? I am sure he was rather unhappy about that.
