No thanks. I don't find the lust of Greek mythology particularly appealing. I like Norse mythology better, even though its darker it's closer to the Anglo-Saxon world in which I live and speak.

The Deities of Lusitania; and of Rome also, since the Portuguese are (at least partially) Latins.

Doesn't the Norse mythology have lust?... Yes, but not to a significant extent in my opinion. I think the bawdiest sexual reference is one of the goddesses sleeping with dwarves but besides that it's pretty tame. A more war-oriented mythology overall. The Old Norse language is pleasurable to me, as well. I like Greek, too, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't top the northern spirit of Teutons. Greeks were too busy being civilized.

Oh, there is a lot more... search about Loki's adventures as a mare, read the Lokasena and see Loki been called «effeminated», and calling Odin «effeminated» as well... Yes, for me too. I specially appreciate proparoxitone words and all the Germanic languages have a proparoxitone vocabulary. I recomend www.odinlives.org/archives.php, where one can listen to some nordic traditional music...

here is the problem norse mythology has nothing to do with Iberia nor does "celtic" and roman mythology In what concerns nordic mythology, it is true that it does not have too much relation to Iberia, but regarding Celtic and Roman traditions... well, most of the contemporary Iberian folks are Romanic or Latin. It's a fact. As for the Celts, there are vestiges of Celtic worship in Iberia, namely, of Lug, Epona and Hermes Devorix (probably, the same as Lug). When you speak about Iberia's religion, what do you have in mind?

Their is also a great webpage/messageboard (sorta of) where people discuss these very things but only in Spanish www.celtiberia.net/ (check it out) Tautalos, you named Lug, Epona and Hermes Devorix, do you have any thing which i can read about them? im interested how they relate to Iberia. a quick search in my fav list for you: this link relates to Catalan en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_myths_and_legends

Tautalos, you named Lug, Epona and Hermes Devorix, do you have any thing which i can read about them? You can search it in any book by Blazquez-Martinez. Online, I can give you this following adress, for information on Lug worshipped in Iberia: groups.msn.com/HISPANIADEORVM/eldiosluglvgvs.msnwfrom the group Hispania Deorvm: groups.msn.com/HISPANIADEORVM/Another Celtic Deity worshipped in Iberia (both in Portugal and in Spain), is Netus, or Neton. About this God of War, it's fascinating, both what is written in Hispania Deorvm and what is written in Lealdade Sacra. Thank you for the list.
