Hello, this is my first contribution to this interesting forum; It is about the human biodiversity (HB) as asserted by our holy book, the Coran.
I recall herein, for those who dont know it, that the Coran is the holy book that was revealed to the prophet Mohammed, the last messenger of God, in the year 611 AD. to all the people of the earth and not only to the arabs.
All the humans have a common origin/ancestry. Thats what is acsertained by Allah in the following coranic verse :
"O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women . Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim ( your rights ) of one another , and toward the wombs ( that bare you ) . Lo! Allah hath been a Watcher over you" (Sourat Al Nisaa 4, 1)
In the coranic verse, hereby, Allah reveals that the biodiversity/differencies observed among the human familly was his will :
"O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female , and have made nations and tribes that ye may know one another . Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah , is the best in conduct . Lo! Allah is Knower , Aware ". (Sourat Al Hujjurat 49,13)
The afforementioned HB is presented by the Coran as a sign of Allah :
"And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth , and the difference of your languages and colours . Lo! herein indeed are portents for men of knowledge" (Sourate A-roum 30, 22)
I think that these three verses, among others, give the islamic interpretation of the amazing HB : The humans, despite their different colours, languages, cultures, ...are brothers and equals in the sight of their Creator, Allah. The best of them is the best in conduct in the way of Allah.
