First let's talk about the sources which the Hebrews ripped off in creating Noah. From Sumer and Babylon we find Ziasudra, Atrahasiz and Utnapishnim -- each from much older traditions than Noah.

I do know that crazy Identist Christians are fond of claiming that toponyms, hydronyms and ethnonyms based on "Dan" have etymologies in the Hebew tribe of Dan. This, of course, we know to be bogus history.

Noah is a biblical invention. He was supposed to be an albino born with snow white hair and milk white skin. The bible is a good read and belongs in the fiction section.

I think most bible stories are symbolic of human nature, not all are suppose to be taken literally.
