Dear Batesy, if I hated Jews you would know about it. I don't understand the anti Jewish stuff myself. But you might be a little over sensitive. There is another thread about xenophobia. Jews or Gypsies or Hungarians in Romania, Albanians in the FYR of Macedonia, Maltese in this forum....they are minorities and different. Xenophobia and lack of understanding kicks in. I can tell you my parents had some stupid thoughts about Jews or Chinese or negroes or even Italians. The point is I make up my own mind and do not listen to old wives tales (sorry padre/madre). Racists have a need to hate. I am not trained in psychology so I can't say why. The need to hate is there just the same. And those types pick on the people who can't fight back. The Jews fitted the bill. I don't think it has anything to do with jealousy or wealth. It is that these people have someone to unleash their irrational hate on. If you know your bible, scapegoats have existed for aeons. Jews (and Maltese on this forum) are scapegoats for irrational and psychotic hatred. What can you do about it? I would say nothing, but be aware of it and sidestep it.

I have my pet hates so to speak: Afrocentrism, Nordicism, Monotheism, mongoloid looking Europeans, East Asians in general, Indians who think Indians are wayward Mediterraneans... I could go on....Heaven I am his satanic majesty afterall.

Now, some Jews wanted him to die as he was seen as a troublemaker and went against many Jewish rules and values, the fact is, the Jews were not in power at the time. The Romans were. no its not related! that symbol came to DOM AFONSO in the battle of Ourique!
