Marcel DuChamp retired to a loft on 14th Street in Downtown Manhattan, in the mid-twentieth Century. He would "stage" the few interviews he ever gave. He would eat a "Danish," which is a New York type of sweet snack and sip Diner coffee while playing checkers with some non descript person and field questions.
