I said 40% of the territory was Turkish, and that 1/5 of the population was Turkish. V V
Oh, and the CIA world factbook says Argentina's 98% white. Do you believe that too?
Your analogy still doesn't make sense.

Yeah, Will is right. He actually has all those numbers about Turks memorized. Ask him the percentage of Turkey's soil on Europe, he will tell you right away.

Here is why my metaphor made sense (Now, pay attention): I said that one shouldn't lump Cyprus in with Turkey just because geographically Cyprus is close to Turkey. Britain likewise is close to France geographically. France has a tiny minority of Arabs. Anatolia has a tiny minority of people from Central Asia. So to lump Cyprus in with the East is as silly as lumping another island (called Britain) in with Saudi Arabia, just because France has a minority of people who's ancestry lies in Asia. So the mataphor stands up.
* Oddly, you yourself pointed out the justness of the metaphor by bringing up the tiny percentage of non-Caucasoid dna in Turkey. (Because, to do so, points out how very little actual Central Asian Turks are represented in the Anatolian population--just as how little Arabs are represented in France.)

The blood's mixed in all around. You keep phrasing things this way "Anatolia has a tiny minority of people from Central Asia." Honestly, what the heck does that mean anyway? You take a statement like (and I'm making up the percentage) 75% of Spanish genetics is Paleolithic and turn it into "75% of Spaniards are Basques". Does that really make any sense? There are likely NO Central Asians. Why would there be? People don't isolate themselves. That's borderline Oslonor logic. That because some people look slightly different they're part of different races despite the fact that they've been mixed in throuroughly. That much mongoloid d.n.a. might imply up to 20-30% Central Asian ancestry--hardly a tiny minority. Cyprus and Britain would be analogous if France had 30% Middle-Eastern blood and had conqured near half of the Island, massively murdered a some Britons, forcibly moved the rest in the area back to Francarabia, and colonised it with whatever a fifth of 70 million people is. Your analogy:

u left out spain, which is historically as important as France and certainly more than italy! (rome is too far in the past and technically it wasnt italy) SALVE LA VITORIA! lol Spain is surely not as important as France in European history nor more than Italy, ever heard about the renaissance? It's the more important for South America, but South America is of 0 importance for Europe. I agree on France being more important than Spain in European History, in fact I consider France and England the most important european countries. But imo, Spain has been more important than Italy. Being responsible for the discovery of the new world which is almost always called the single most important event of the past millenium and being the first global superpower, and first power in Europe on land and on the sea for almost 150 years has to count for something right? Also, the spanish role stopping the protestant reformation, the wars against the turks, and all their involvement in the netherlands and Germany, and above all things, how the economic power shifted from center east mediterranean sea to the atlantic ocean, making venice, geneve, ottomans quite irrelevant, and the atlantic ports very wealthy have all been very important in shaping Europe to this day. They also had a cultural golden age, Quixote is generally considered the first modern novel for example. Sometimes because of the decadence Spain experienced for so many centuries we forget they used to be da shit. ------------------------------------------------ Seizure, Droop, what are you discussing? if turks are or not europeans because of the non caucasian admixture?!?!?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines Cypriot population is largely of Greek origin and are very similar /identical to Greeks in general genetic wise obviously. So I dont get this arguement.

Crimson Guard, Thank God! A voice of reason.
And, yes, Will: I'm saying that Cypriots are not Middle Eastern. 79% of the island are Greeks and have been Greeks since 1600 B.C. Contrary to your proposition: People aren't all "evenly mixed". You said that "people don't just stick together" and not breed around; but genetics proves that people do stick together. Look at the Kurds in Anatolia, the Armenians, the Greeks. Linguistics, religion and culture keep them separate from the invaders. My God, look at the genetic studies of Assyrians in Iraq--how Christianity kept them genetically isolated from surrounding populations for thousands of years.
So your claim that Cypriots are all genetically Turks is just ridiculous on its basis. Turks from Central Asia started out as a minority--and they NEVER bred into the majority of the people. Turkey is not the United States, where everyone's mixed. These are age-old enemies, rivals. Blood feuds exist. For you to make retarded claims that Greeks are all half-Turkish just tells me one thing: You don't pay close attention to dna studies before you shoot your mouth off.
* You sound like a White Nationalist--those idiots who claim that all modern Greeks are Turks, and that the ancient Greeks were some other race. Sad to say: Dna tests have been undertaken, and the Greeks today are the same Greeks from antiquity. The Ottoman Empire--that enveloped Greece and most of the Balkans--didn't magically mutate their genes, or "Turkify" them, as you're ludicrously claiming.

I never said the Greeks were mixed with the Turks. I'm saying geographically half of Cyprus is Turkish, and the Turks that live in that area didn't magically manage to escape non-Caucasoid genes just like Basques didn't manage to escape E3b, and a bunch of other oriental tags. And they're not Kurds, they're mongoloid-, negroid-blood carrying mixed Islamic Turks. They're not Myceneans from antiquity. No, Jews being genetically related to northern Middle-Easterners, Kurds, (who probably clame from northern Mesopotamia along with the Levant) doesn't mean Abraham wasn't from Ur and that you just owned the Bible. No, Gene Wilder is not "Turkic"-looking. No, "Amerindic" does not = Amerindian. No, "Atlantid" does not = Atlantic. No, "Europid" does not = European. No, you can't be agnostic/atheist and claim that you're "religion-wise" a "Catholic". No, you don't, most of the time, know what you're talking about. Had I even mentioned the word "Greek"? I repeat: half of Cyprus is Turkish. I found a link that explains everything for you-- www.esl.com/?s=2&t=78'Thank God! Someone who agrees with me.'

Let me tell you something, moron, I am not here to listen your stupid crap. The reason why I am here is because this is supposed to be different than WN boards. You came out of nowhere and started saying Turks are not European, non-white, barbaric, Islamic mongols. I am proud of what I am but you can't throw out terms like Mongol, Islamic blah blah blah as if they are some kind of insults and gety away with it. I don't know what your obsession with Turks is and I don't want to hear your stupid racialist views towards us either. Go to Stormfront, you will make many friends there I am sure.

1. I would like an immediate apology for the name calling.
2. Turks aren't European (is that supposed to be a bad thing?), they're not fully Caucasoid, they've comitted horrible things and achieved great things, they're Islamic (I mentioned this to seperate them from Christian Europe), and they're partially Mongol (have you got a problem with that or are you a racist?)
3. I don't have an obsession with Turks. Writing half a dozen posts on a subject is not an "obsession". You want to throw psychological terms around, sir, here's one for you: paranoid.
If you think I have a problem with Turks being Turks, piss off.
Also, if you could be more specific and cite quotes of where I "suck", that'd be helpful instead of just name-calling. GG NO RE K THX. If you didn't come here to read me, DON'T!

Do not play word games with me you f*cktard. It is obvious what your ideology is just reading this thread EVEN IF I didn't know your posting history.
REPEAT: I am proud of what I am. I don't care if I have mongoloid blood, I don't think I have it but it wouldn't matter if I have Negroid blood either. My ancestors were Muslims, and they are/were the kindest and most helpful people I have seen yet. So, I am proud of my history and culture, too. And I won't just stand here listening my country and people insulted. One thing that I was wrong was saying you can't get away with it. You have done it before, and will continue to do so. So rejoice, I am out of here, you can now blame Turks for everything bad in this world, no opposition.
-How many Turks in your board? -One Turk is too many.
And I am done.
