I want to make it clear as an Egyptian, who is horrified by the persistence of Afrocentrist propaganda on this site, that Egyptians do not and never will consider themselves black African. And neither do they admit the same for their ancestors. The ancient Egyptians were the same people as the modern Egyptians, who, according to the US Census Bureau, are Caucasian. The problem is really as simple as that. Nobody can prove that there was a dramatic change between ancient and modern Egyptians.
All kinds of evidence-
genetic
pictorial (by the AEs)
quotes from people of the time
modern day Egyptians
Pharoanic reconstructions (Ramses-Tut-Aum-her Khepeshef all prove it)
Prove that the AEs were not Negroid black Africans. Sure, some in the South were similar to Aethopids, but they were a minority, and that is no pretext to judge it as a black civilization. As long as Afrocentrists keep pushing this langugae, they will only encourage Egyptians to distance themselves from Africa. I notice that there are very few Egyptians debating this. You know why? Look at Sharm. IN Egypt we have our own problems to confront and we don't need to waste our time with petty problems of people jealous with our history. If you Afrocentrists really feel a connection to Egypt, then help Egypt now, donate money, come to visit. Or else all your saying is a pile of useless shit. As for Egyptians abroad, unlike Afrocentrists, we actually have a past so we don't need to obsess over it, but more than that, we have a present and a future which gives us bigger issues to deal with. I'm done for the day. I really don't like the environment here so I don't think I'll stay long...
