Yes, he's a white man. A sallow, unkempt, looks-like-he-could-drop-dead-at-any-minute white man, but a white man nonetheless.

Castro is definitely white. Of course, in America he would be distinguished as a 'Latino'.

Is his ancestry 100% spanish!?. Or does he have some black roots!? ... ;D (J/K).
Seriously, I believe he is a white man. See his pictures when he was a young revolutionary man.

I live in Florida, so he's not that far away from me. Everybody over here is waiting for him to drop dead so the U.S. can take over Cuba and make it a commonwealth like Puerto Rico! YAY!

Yeah, Batista is part black. I am assuming that he is a quadroon. Nevertheless, he was not a good leader. He could have done more for the Cuban people. If he was, then Castro probably would not have been in office and getting away with the despicable things he did to the Cuban people. I do think Castro is a white man.

Castro is definitely white. Of course, in America he would be distinguished as a 'Latino'. Yes, that is right. Fidel Castro is white. His father Angel Castro was a Spaniard from Galicia. His mother was a white peasant woman whose family moved from the westermost province of Pinar del Rio to the easternmost province of Oriente, where she was born. I met one of Castro's aunts on his mother's side, as well as his cousins. And yes, in the USA he would simply be referred to as Latino. Batista was mulatto and that is the way he was seen in Cuba. Actually, he also had a lot of indian blood. For many years, blacks were among his most ardent supporters. Batista did open the door to Castro's takeover by staging a coup d'etat only 60 days before elections were to be held. Violence, political corruption and human rights violations turned most people agaisnt him by the time Castro replaced him.

Being a common wealth isn't so great......the income is terrible and its so crowded, its hard to get a job, since most of them are taken, its hard to buy things with the money you get, no matter how good you're at in your professional, everything almost cost in the same in Puerto Rico and NYC, but Puerto Ricans can make 1/5 or 1/3 less than the regular New Yorker on average, which is a good reason why 40% of the Island is on welfare Puerto Rico needs USA, but it also needs its independance and its strong relationship with USA
