hey another random post::
Ethiopia is the japan of africa because.........
independant throughout colonialsm long running history with emperors etc (lol not much info soz) erm......many of its people dont consider themselves like other africans (as many people in japan believed they werent like other asians) They differ in appearance - Eritreans and Ethiopians (equivilent - Koreans and Japanese) have more aquiline features as do japanese and koreans compared with african/asian neighbours culturally ethiopians are very reserved and shy, as are japanese - note ethiopians bow on greeting one another (although this has fallen out of practice except on formal occasiaons) Christianity and Islam have coexisted for hundereds of years as has buddishm and shintoism in japan ethiopians were empire builders as were the japanese
im sure there are other things but im tired! lol dunno why i posted this but please tell me what you think on it!!!!

Ethiopia is dirt-poor and can't feed its own people despite having access to the most productive rivers and aquifers in the world. Comparing it to Japan in the present sense is a joke. Ethiopia was the Japan of Africa. Today, there is no African equivalent to Japan, only three countries that come close are S. Africa, Egypt, and Morrocco.

-Egypt, Never, you've a got the virus too deep inside of you, Ethiopia or Erythrea are more likely to be developped than Egypt. What makes you say that? You have a completely incomprehensible hatred of Egypt. If we played a part in the Revolution, the only people you have to blame are the easily manipulated Algerians. Furthermore, Egypt is the only country on the entire continent that was in a continuous state of development on par or surpassing that of the rest of the world. From the Pharaohs to Hellenic Alexandria to Greco-Roman Egypt to the Fatimids to the Mamelukes to the era of the pashas to colonial times, we far surpassed any other African or even Middle Eastern country in terms of development. How does a virus play a part in that? Furthermore, the largest Arab companies are Egyptian. Don't forget that your largest mobile telecoms operator in Algeria is owned by an Egyptian company. Ever heard of the Sawirises? We're even accessing the Italian telecoms market, pretty big if you ask me. Furthermore, Egypt is the only Arab country that actually garners respect abroad, which means more than you think. Not to mention the QIZ agreement with Israel, an FTA with the EU, and the fact that Egypt is heavily involved in foreign affairs of the Middle Eastern, Arab, Islamic, African, and Mediterranean spheres. Also, let's not forget that the Egyptian diaspora is stronger and more prosperous than any other North or East African diaspora, and in terms of the Middle East, is only rivalled by the powerful Syro-Lebanese diaspora.

and that eurocentrists tried to claim that both races had caucasian admixtures in them to legitimize their level of cultural development! You're right, the Japanese don't have any significant Caucasian mixture. Ethiopians do, however, and I would expect the nearer one gets to the Horn, the more admixture one could expect to find. Don't know the exact statistics and the various ethnic groups bordering the Red Sea vary in the amount of Caucasian admixture they have. Caucasian admixture is of course not as important as the dominant Negroid type of the region, but it's still there.

also obviously i wasnt comparing it to japan in the sense today, i was talking about externally, due to the factors that i listed it is the equivalent of a japan but in africa (OBVIOUSLY not technologically etc but the way its people behave and its history)

any significant caucasian mixture? so the japanese do have SOME caucasian admixture? (ainu?) No, they don't have any as far as we know. The Ainu are a a stabilized hybrid Australoid-Mongoloid race. This combination often gives a Caucasian appearance, which is why previous generations of anthropologists assumed the Ainu and similar hybrids, like the Polynesians, were Caucasoid. That's of course all debunked now, but Caucasian admixture in the Horn is still a subject of intense debate here.

well east africans must have had some caucasian admixture i have to admit (seeing as they are so close to arabia), but at the same time many people argue maybe they just evloved to look like that and they have no caucasian admixture giving them aquiline features and soft hair.
Also whats with 'back-migration' - i heard that populations moved from eastern africa to asia and then back again (something about indian populations moving way long time ago)
(now that explains for why i see kids in ethiopia looking sri lankan! haha)
