Couldn't fit a better title, so I'll explain. Do you feel more comfortable when you're in a climate that's similar to that of your ancestors? If you are a Nord do you enjoy the snow more than a Negro?
Personally, I love the summer heat on my skin. Even better for me is being in the Med area.
My friend who looks like a Nazi posterboy loves the winter more than any other season. He appreciates the others as well but he has a special thing for the snow.

well I'm used to northern climates. i know how to work with typical northern climates, like London, New York, Toronto etc. so i'd say i'd be pretty apprehensive about living in somewhere hot, even like south of france or spain, let alone somewhere in africa, or the middle east. i like the winter and the summer. they're both kinda fun seasons, (although in the UK we have very moderate winters and summers). but if i had to pick, i think it'd be the summer. I don't have to wear a coat in the summer, i can just wear a t-shirt. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

my tastes for weather do not follow my ancestors' living climates...i'm pretty much all northern euro, but i loooove the warm weather. of course i've lived in florida all my life. it seems that your temperature preference is often based on what you grow up in.

I prefer the moderate temperatures of Spring and Fall.

I have both northern and southern European blood. I hate both heat and cold. I like cloudy, brisk weather. I also like rain. Anything that isn't too cold, too sunny, or too hot is good for me. Autumn is my favorite season.

I like dry, moderate heat (70-80) with a nice breeze periodically. I don't know if it has anything to do with my ancestors.

I'm a mix of North/Central Euro, Med, and some Amerindian. I like the cold a lot as I love snow and the dark days. Summer would be my second favorite. I don't get bothered by extreme cold, but extreme hot does bother me. Interestingly, my 100% South Italian grandma dislikes hot weather.

I HATE the heat. The largest chunk of my ancestry comes from Portugal. I like the climate there, although the summers are a bit too hot for me. But it's not as humid there, which is good. The heat in Sao Paulo, Brazil (where I'm from) lasts longer, but it's not as extreme as the European summer, which is not as long, but definitely hotter. I've spent 3 summers in Europe and they were the hottest months of my life. There are some places where it never seems to be very hot, like Holland, Poland, some parts of Northern Germany, etc... But I've experienced 34 degrees at night in Germany, after a 40 degree day. Crazy shit. It's NEVER that hot where I live. Once, when I was in Italy it was 42 degrees. Insane.

Interesting topic. I am half Italian and half Jewish and look very Med, but I hate summer. I tan darkly, but I also burn (sometimes very severely) which is odd. Too much sunlight gives me headaches and I get puffy and bright red in the heat. Once autumn comes my energy levels return and I'm back to being normal.

I hate the heat and sun, but oddly enough I always look forward to summer.

I like northern climate and cold. Especially i like continental climate with really cold winters and hot summers. Four years i lived in Siberia and enjoyed climate there very much. Now i live in Baltic states where is more marine, milder climate, which i don't like so much.

god bless you zemelmete. we both live in our desired environments.
i cant live in cold weather, more especially so in very cold siberia. itd be like living in a refrigerator or something!
i prefer mild weather, with temperatures around 17 to 25 degrees, preferably with a nice sunny sky. thats exactly where i live, and taking this aspect into consideration i dont complain.

I'm comfortable in any climate except heat. The reason I don't like it is because it makes me sweat, not because it affects me physically in any other way (making me dizzy or tired or something like that). My favourite climate is rather mild, not too hot or too cold. I also prefer rain to sunny days.

I´m used to hot and freezing temperatures. I can function more or less normally under extreme heat (48 degrees Celsius), as well as under very cold weather ( 20 bellow C.). The only thing I can´t manage that well is hot and wet, tropical climate. My favourite weather is around 15 degrees, partly cloudy and rainy, not too much, the kind of weather we get in Northern Spain during most of the year. I love the rain.
