I associate it with all three. Pick the one that you think suits it best. Where does Egypt belong to more? I put the Middle east, just because of the physical, ethnic, genetic, political, social, religious, linguistic, and especially, cultural similarities Egypt has with Middle Eastern countries. Also, I believe that Egypt and Libya are genuine parts of the Middle East and that "North Africa" properly refers to the Maghreb. I think that Egypt, and, to a lesser extent, Libya, have more in common with countries like Jordan, Iraq, Palestina, and Lebanon than with Morrocco or Tunisia.
