I'd say everybody has their own preferences when it comes to who they find attractive. It varies with the individual and there are good-looking people in all races/ethnicities. Personally I've been attracted to a wide range of women, mostly Caucasoid women but some black and mestiza women as well. I've also seen some gorgeous Asian women too.
As far as Caucasoid women go, the most attractive to me are usually either southern European or British. American women are sometimes too fake I'm sorry to say (and I'm American btw), however I think the blending of various European types in America has also produced some very attractive women (and men for you women out there).
I think Hollywood tends to favor Caucasoid features no doubt, but particularly northern European features. Look at leading men for example. You have Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Mel Gibson, etc. etc. All look pretty much northern European don't they? I also agree that some Asians and other ethnicities worship these features to the extent that they undergo plastic surgery and dye their hair in order to look more "Western." It's unhealthy and not needed.
I'm half Med half northern/central European and am quite proud of my predominantly Med appearance. Although this might seem like a bad example because that still makes me fully Caucasoid, I still differ from the average Euro-American and don't care that I don't look northern European. I feel unique sometimes lol.

I think Hollywood tends to favor Caucasoid features no doubt Nothing wrong with that if that sells... Tom Cruise looks Med to me.. atleast more Med, and also Ben Afleck.. He is Lebanese after all. And Mel looks Med, and Jack.. dunno. You mean the north is more fully "Caucasoid" than the south? That's hardly the reality, in fact some say it's even the opposite, depending on what you mean by the term. Besides, Western Eurasians are themselves an amalgation of various strains in history and prehistory, just like every people. "Purity" is impossible to achieve (just look at the genetic, archeological, migratory, ethnographic record). Purity is not even healthy if you think in terms of logistics. Every population started off small. You don't want people to inbreed.

Every population started off small. You don't want people to inbreed. You misunderstood me, that's not what I said at all. I never asserted that northern Europe was more "pure" than southern Europe. I wasn't even talking about "purity" lol (and I know no population is pure). I was only stating that most Euro-Americans are of northern European descent (which is true), and that that's the standard of beauty that's projected as desirable by Hollywood and the media. As for it selling, sure it does, the media's very powerful, all too powerful sometimes. It doesn't necessarily make it healthy as some people become ashamed of their natural appearance. Maybe I should've specified, what I meant by half Med was half southern European (what most people think of as meaning Med). Tom Cruise does not look Med to me, he looks, and I believe is, Irish. He might have some characteristics that some call "Atlanto-Med," (which is mostly a British/Irish type anyway) but imo he doesn't look like he comes from a Mediterranean country (as in southern Europe, the Levant, etc.). The same goes for Mel Gibson, how does he look Med? Jack Nicholson also looks more Irish to me than anything, and I think he is. Ben Affleck Lebanese? Do you have a source for this?

Well, yes, Tom Cruise isn't the type of Med you're talking about. He's perhaps more Atlanto-Med. Mel also isn't Med-looking, but he isn't a typical northern-European-looking dude either, IMO, nor is Jack Nicholson. As for Ben Afleck, I think I read it somewhere, that he's atleast partly Lebanese. Isn't his name bastardized Arabic anyway? Don't quote me on it. Maybe you can find something on the net. Ben Afleck approaches a northern European though but not exactly.

Well, did you ever think that Western celebrities don't look like your "average Caucasian" either? Just look at the traits I pointed out to Alexandrian. Seriously. Think about it. It's easy for me to see since I'm an "outsider". Well, regardless if they share certain traits with east Asians they still don't look like typical east Asians. They look more like typical Caucasians. Nicole Kidman may have high cheekbones (I don't know, I'm bad at telling who has them and who doesn't), but she doesn't resemble say Zhang Ziyi in the least anyway. As for gorgeous Asian guys, there's plenty more... at least in Asian media.. can't say you'll be impressed by the average Asian man on the street. True, and I'm not very impressed by the average Caucasian man walking down the street, but if I compare the two average Joes I'd still prefer the Caucasian one. I'm sure there are lots and lots of gorgeous Asian males and females, but to me, they're not all that, especially not when compared to gorgeous Caucasians. But an Asian man in a good light? No way, not when his civilization is rivaling the West. Too threatening. Seriously, would half of America (guys) and maybe more, want to see a guy like this Hong Kong actor below rescue a blond damsel in distress? So it's a Hollywood conspiracy? Honestly, what do I care if Asian men invade Hollywood to save white chicks? As long as they're good-looking it's fine by me. ;D I find Monica to be very beautiful. But it's a matter of taste, as have been attested by people I know. Of course it is, and when I wrote that I think even the prettiest Chinese woman pales in comparison to Monica, I was simply letting you all know my taste. The women in your pictures are very pretty, but I'd still pick Monica over them.

anunnaki, instead of hiding behind your Indo-European brothers in Europe (or Semitic people for that matter), why don't you just stick with Iran. "Caucasians" covers a big geographical area, and Europeans are a composite of Upper Paleolithic types, originally Central Asian types, and Middle Eastern types. You can't obviously say that certain types in Europe are the same as types found in Iran. And Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom look like typical Caucasians? Brad's broad face and raised, pushed-out cheek bones, smoothed-out features are typical? Orlando Bloom's neotenic look and soft features, Iranian? Wanna have a contest of who can find more people who look like these two from our two respective countries? You mean Takeshi Kaneshiro looks like these typical Iranians? In your delusional, self-flattering ego's wet dreams maybe. Nicole Kidman is a European woman, certainly not the typical Iranian. They, as I said, are a combination of different West Eurasian strains. If you look at Upper Paleolithic crania in Europe, they had a wider, rounder look. Even lineage-wise on the paternal side, M173 and its derivatives (which dominate Europe) ultimately trace back to western Siberia. There were some distortion so that it is not proportional to reality, plus that was a long long time ago, but I think I made my point. Well, I didn't say the average Asian Joe was better or equal in the looks department. I'm not personally very keen on Asian women, but as for the men (and I'm not gay BTW), I tend to prefer the Asian look (at least in celebs. The average Joe is far from that). The eyes and cheek bones and softer look give more flavor. When did I say that? Heck, most Chinese don't want to see a bunch of Iranians running around either. It's simply preferences. Well, of course it's a matter of taste, but to say that the prettiest Asian woman pales in comparison to Monica Belucci is a bit over-stating it. For example, this woman, objectively speaking, is at least equal to Monica in the looks department, in many peoples eyes at least.

anunnaki, instead of hiding behind your Indo-European brothers in Europe (or Semitic people for that matter), why don't you just stick with Iran. "Caucasians" covers a big geographical area, and Europeans are a composite of Upper Paleolithic types, originally Central Asian types, and Middle Eastern types. You can't obviously say that certain types in Europe are the same as types found in Iran. Of course not. By Caucasian I mean European Whites, but white is such a lousy term. How about 'fair Caucasians' as compared to the darker non-European ones? And Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom look like typical Caucasians? Brad's broad face and raised, pushed-out cheek bones, smoothed-out features are typical? Orlando Bloom's neotenic look and soft features, Iranian? Wanna have a contest of who can find more people who look like these two from our two respective countries? You mean Takeshi Kaneshiro looks like these typical Iranians? In your delusional, self-flattering ego's wet dreams maybe. See above. I compare your beloved Kaneshiro to European Whites, not Iranians. It's also interesting how you compare a celeb Asian (who most likely wouldn't have made it to stardom if he wasn't so good looking) with ordinary Iranians. How about comparing an Iranian model (we've had pictures of those on this forum before) with your average Chinese woman? Fair comparison? I think not. Your Asian celeb is good-looking, however, in MY eyes, most WHITE EUROPEAN (there, so you won't mistake Caucasian for Iranians again) male celebrities have more in the looks department than him. True, Brad Pitt sure as hell doesn't look like your typical Iranian. However, he doesn't resemble your typical Asian either. To me, many of the Asian celebs don't look like your typical Asian either. Perhaps that's why you find Kaneshiro and Pitt to look a bit alike. Do you think the same goes for Jet Li or Jackie Chan compared to Brad Pitt? Nicole Kidman is a European woman, certainly not the typical Iranian. *sigh* See above. Why did you instantly make the assumption that I was talking about Iranians when I wrote Caucasian? Are you a bit touchy because some people don't find Asians in general to be good-looking? Caucasian is still the most common term for European Whites (next to 'whites' of course). I myself prefer European men over Iranians, but I prefer your average Iranian over your average Asian. That said, I'm not racist or anything (hard to be when I myself am married to a Swede). I really don't care if some people find Asians to be the best looking race. It's not my preference and that's that. but as for the men (and I'm not gay BTW), I tend to prefer the Asian look (at least in celebs. The average Joe is far from that). The eyes and cheek bones and softer look give more flavor. There are some great looking Asian celebs out there, but they're celebs for a reason you know. Personally I'm not interested in celebrities. They always are the exception to the rule in every population. Iranian celebs look hot, so does Asian and European ones. To me, your average Iranian looks like shit, your average Asian as well and your average white European looks a bit better. Well, of course it's a matter of taste, but to say that the prettiest Asian woman pales in comparison to Monica Belucci is a bit over-stating it. I think not. To me, Monica beats every single pretty Asian celeb I've seen. I'm sure there are people who find Monica to be quite ugly compared to Asian models and whatnot, but that's really not interesting to me. I prefer Caucasians, fair ones first, dark ones following. For example, this woman, objectively speaking, is at least equal to Monica in the looks department, in many peoples eyes at least. Sorry, not to me. She's very pretty, but not beautiful like Monica.

My beloved Kaneshiro? Oh please... You're the one who brought it up.. As if he or Russel Wong ( ) is all "we have". It's like me just mentioning Mel Gibson in the same light. My beloved Mel? You have no idea. As for the other stuff, well, as long as you admit it's your opinion, then fine.. What happened to that wooga wooga booga booga Gorilla-beating-on-the-chest air you had before? I'd beg to differ. I won't even bring up any other "Asian male celeb" because this "fight" is not with Euros. But you have no idea... as I said before. No. I could care less... I just find it funny. I'm not at all insecure about comparing to Euros, or else I wouldn't have "flattered them" in this tread. Further, my personal aesthetic preference is for Asian male celebs (not the average Joe of course) over any other type, so I'm not bothered at all. I'd only be bothered if I found Euro celebs to be more appealing, but then I'd admit to it. You mean your average Asian looks like shyt (otherwise you contradict yourself)? Well, in America there are a lot of Iranians and Asians, and frequent the same LA clubs for example. Some Iranians can be very good looking, while others pale in comparison to your "average" Korean or Chinese guys and girls in the clubs. It would only be so good if all Asian people look like arctic specimens posted in threads, but that isn't so, especially the well-nourished Asian American. You're used to looking at extreme Iranians (you know what I'm talking about)... Well lets just say a lot of others aren't.

My beloved Kaneshiro? Oh please... You're the one who brought it up.. As if he or Russel Wong ( ) is all "we have". It's like me just mentioning Mel Gibson in the same light. My beloved Mel? You have no idea. Well you keep bringing him up. ;D As for the other stuff, well, as long as you admit it's your opinion, then fine.. What happened to that wooga wooga booga booga Gorilla-beating-on-the-chest air you had before? About what, European men? It's still there. ;D I'd beg to differ. I won't even bring up any other "Asian male celeb" because this "fight" is not with Euros. But you have no idea... as I said before. If not with Europeans then with whom? Ordinary hook-nosed Iranians? I'm not the one who brought up the Iranians and I'm sure as hell not the one who compares plain and ordinary Iranians to Asian celebrities. No. I could care less... I just find it funny. That I prefer Europeans to Asians? What's funny about that? You mean your average Asian looks like shyt (otherwise you contradict yourself)? Well, shit was to do overdo it a bit, but yeah, your average Asian AND Iranian is 'not much to hang in the Christmas tree' as we say in Sweden. I've never claimed that Iranians are all hotties (apart from the celebs). Most Iranians, like most Asians, just don't do it for me. The occasional handsome Iranian or Asian man is of course eye-candy and I've never stated otherwise. Good-looking people are good-looking no matter where they come from, but compared to other good-looking people there will always be someone whom you or I consider less appealing. If I compare Kaneshiro to Werner Schreyer I will find Werner Schreyer to be more handsome and masculine. Just like you'll probably find Kaneshiro more attractive than Schreyer. Well, in America there are a lot of Iranians and Asians, and frequent the same LA clubs for example. Some Iranians can be very good looking, while others pale in comparison to your "average" Korean or Chinese guys and girls in the clubs. But of course. Where have I said that some Asians can't be way hotter than some Iranians?

I never implied that. who cares what you like? Grow up. Stop twisting my words. Go back and read what you wrote and what I replied to to see what I found funny. HINT: I even make faces after the stuff I found funny sometimes. Another thing I find funny: People saying anime are Caucasians just because of the big eyes. Since when did Caucasians have cute little button noses and neotenic oval faces? Just another case of bland boring self-flatterment. Kaneshiro isn't even my favorite celeb. You brought him up. As for my preferences, I've already stated it. No need to repeat myself, especially since this "discussion" is not even with a "European".

I never implied that. who cares what you like? Grow up. Stop twisting my words. Go back and read what you wrote and what I replied to to see what I found funny. HINT: I even make faces after the stuff I found funny sometimes. Well, what are you implying then? I write that I prefer Europeans and you start ranting and raving about Iranians, Caucasians, Asian celebs and god knows what. What is it you want to say? That beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder? Well, on that we can agree then. Another thing I find funny: People saying anime are Caucasians just because of the big eyes. Since when did Caucasians have cute little button noses and neotenic oval faces? Just another case of bland boring self-flatterment. Many groups of people have oval faces and I don't see what's so neotenic about that. As for anime I don't find those cartoons to look neither Caucasian nor Asian. Anyone who looks like an anime cartoon irl will most likely be considered quite grotesque. They should be taken for what they are, cartoons, and not be compared with real people. I know some people say the Japanese draw them blonde and blue-eyed because they like Nordic colouring better. I wouldn't know about that, but it's more likely they use European colouring because it gives more variety than if everyone would be black-haired and black-eyed. However, in defense to those who think anime cartoons look Caucasian - since when did east Asians have big round eyes, blonde/red/light-brown hair and fair coloured eyes? Blah, what do I care, I don't watch anime anyway. Kaneshiro isn't even my favorite celeb. You brought him up. As for my preferences, I've already stated it. No need to repeat myself, especially since this "discussion" is not even with a "European". Well gee, replace Kaneshiro with your favourite celeb then. And why can't you have a discussion on European vs Asian looks with a non-European? How does my ethnicity render such a discussion 'invalid'? It's a matter of aestethic preference, right? So why can't you have the discussion with me?

I don't need to replace Kaneshiro in response to your pic, if you get my drift. And as for why not have a pic war with you? Well, why would I get into it with Euros considering it's an Iranian who is arguing with me? It's petty. They've done me no wrong as of this moment. Anime are also in blue, green, purple, pink hair. So those are Euro colors too? Pathetic. Bland boring self-flatterment (not even self-flattery). On wait, it's at the behest of Euros by a White-worshipping Iranian woman. Even more pathetic.

So you can only discuss say black beauty with someone who's black? Why don't you explain exactly why you can't discuss Euro looks with a non-European? Anime are also in blue, green, purple, pink hair. So those are Euro colors too? Pathetic. Bland boring self-flatterment (not even self-flattery). Like I wrote, anime shouldn't be compared to real people. Btw, what's wrong with an Iranian flattering Euro looks? Had you acted the same way if I had been raving mad about east Asian looks but not negroid looks?
