Free trade. We're the only ones who trade fairly.
The only reason we are where we're at is we had a lot of good manufacturing jobs available. They're gone now. We've never had a good education system, we still don't, and now it's going to hurt us badly. The middle class is educated badly.
Not to mention we don't need nearly uneducated illegal Mexican immigrants. We just don't. Nice way to enter a country by the way. Completely shit on the immigration laws, welfare, and social security.
Of the 1.2 million jobs created from June to six months before, after having lost jobs for the first time since the great depression, 30% went to illegal immigrants--because it's low-wage jobs that are being created. The days of making 40-60 thousand dollars with a factory job with no education are what built this economy, and they're now gone.
Not to mention a terrifying political situation. While the two parties have radically different adherents, they're otherwise identical (social issues don't matter and they're similar there, too). They both support free trade and exporting jobs. They support uninhibited illegal immigration. They're both fiscally liberal.
This country is split 50/50 between the two political parties. We've always had low election attendance, and local politics completely ignored by nearly everyone. The American people are very uneducated, very easily led, and have all the power.
edit: 30% of the jobs I mentioned went to immigrants, whether they were illegal or not it isn't known. However, of that 30%, 95 percent went to non-citizens.
