I think that Al-Qaeda is an example of the beginning of a trend in the development of pseudo nations, by which I mean people anywhere, aided by modern travel and communication methods, can develop their own doctrines and code of behavior and form their own nation.
I see others following this like the far-right, and eventually wars being fought between these nations.

Al Qaeda is not about nation building, it is about terrorising the whole world to dhimmi submission.
If the West fails to tackle its immigration and low birth rate problems, I see a sharp rise in the extreme right parties throughout Europe. The only way that possibility can be minimized is if the mainstream parties take their heads out of their asses and actually start thinking about the future of their people.
